Chapter 125 **Piper’s POV** The restaurant lighting became soft, the kind that made every table look like a movie scene and every silence sound unnecessarily dramatic. Golden light pooled across the linen tablecloth, flickering from the candle between us. It cast Gavin’s features in warm relief: sharp jawline, neatly combed hair, the faintest glint off his watch whenever he lifted his glass. He looked perfectly composed. Effortlessly so. Her friends insisted on throwing her a celebration dinner. Ellis had made the reservation. Callum brought flowers. The clattering of glasses and voices was heard as they all settled at a table. “It’s such a beautiful night,” Usman remarked as he took a sip from his glass of wine. "Table ten, right?" The lady nodded, appreciated me, and ran off to relieve herself. I scanned the room from where I was, hoping to see the table number waving back at me. But I was too far away to see anything meaningful, so I readied my feet to begin the search for Table Ten. "Ladies and gentlemen, I will like to present to you, the man of the day, Dominic Powers!"
