Gwen stepped out, looking very pretty, she raised her head and the brush I heard almost fell out of my hand. “Gwen?” I called. She smiled and replied. “How do I look?” she asked. I raised my three last fingers as I held my index with my thumb, replying. “Spectacular.” “Thanks,” she said as she blushed. She had done her hair and had light makeup on. Olivia had left quite a lot of her things behind, Gwen made good use of them. I dropped the brush as I lifted my hand to take hers. She placed it on mine slowly and I led her out of the pack house. We crossed a few maids and they were staring at us. They could recognize Gwen, but they were confused that we were going out together, all dressed us.

I wondered why she was still afraid of me; she should know that I would never hurt her, not the woman crying my child, and I won't let anyone do so either.

She had her hair pulled back into a high ponytail, I supposed she styled it that way to keep her hair away from the food but it seemed as if it changed her demeanor. Standing in front of the bathroom mirror, Gwen retrieved her magic comb, having already stashed the bag containing Sienna's treasure trove inside the kitchen pantry. Plus, I wanted the kind of makeup that was minimal and still showed my real features. After I succeeded in keeping my tears at bay, I gave Gwen another hug and let her finish my makeup.
