Hades And Zeus Novels & Stories

"Hades has arrived!" Persephone thought back to the tale her mother had told her of the three powerful siblings: Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, the fiercest of all the gods, who slew their father Cronos with his own scythe and destroyed the Titans. Then they shared the world, the sky, the sea, and the dark realm below. The other two brothers chose the better ones, leaving Hades with no choice but to reign over a barren kingdom of the dead. Because the gloomy underworld was opposed to the bright heavenly Olympus, Hades was not accepted as an Olympian god and was never invited to supper in Zeus's grandiose abode. Hardly anyone mentioned Hades' name.

Forced to wed Hades, the God of the underworld, Persephone lived a miserable life despite being the daughter of Zeus. She found her bestfriend in her own brother Kratos who, like her was betrayed by their own. They were more than similar than they thought they were not.

I just wasn’t ready to accept it. “Because we are gods.” Zeus said like it was nothing. Hades shot daggers at his brother while Poseidon tried not to spit out his coffee. “So, it’s true?” I said more than asked. That got all of their attention. Zeus looked annoyed, Poseidon looked shocked, and Hades had that smile again. “Smart as well. How did you know?” Hades asked.

Thankfully, just as I did that, the door was suddenly pushed open. However, my jaws practically fell to the floor when two men who looked like splitting images of Hades stepped in. I gasped and so did Hades. “Hello brother,” one of the men greeted with a smile, and I couldn’t help but frown when my body reacted to him just as it did to Hades. What the hell? Was he also my mate? And the last one too? “I am Chad, Hades' brother, and this is our other brother, Trent.” The man said, ignoring Hades as his attention was riveted to me. I gulped.

Noel, god of the Earth, asked. “Whatever it is, be fast with it, I need to return to the underworld, or else Cerberus would come looking for me,” Hades said. “He is a good boy, you know,” he grinned. “Yes, yes, Hades, we know you have a loving relationship with your monstrous three-headed pet dog,” Azura said with a roll of her eyes. “Haha, someone is jealous,” Hades said, “tell me, are you not having fun watching your merfolk?”

And when Zeno’s gaze swept the room, it too seemed to stutter and skip over her, as if she were a void he refused to acknowledge. The air between them crackled with an unspoken tension, a history so thick and heavy it was almost palpable. It wasn’t the respectful distance of a guard and her Lord’s peer. It was the charged, painful silence of two people trying desperately to pretend the other didn’t exist. In that moment, I knew. Lord Hades wasn’t the Olympian who haunted Mitha’s thoughts. It was the married Lord of the Seas, a man whose own political match was as well-known as it was reportedly loveless. And suddenly, the harpy’s intimidating exterior felt less like a shield and more like a

While Medusa was having the time of her life in Hades chamber, Olympus was gradually falling apart and the gods were not making it any easier for Zeus. In the great white hall, the eight main gods sat, making a hell of a noise. To Zeus, it was like baby sitting overly powered kids that had no home training. Then again, he was just like them.....all eight of them; Poseidon god of the sea, sat with his golden trident and crown, very intimidating with all his godly build and huge blue tail.

Hades and Persephone. That was how Hades kidnapped Persephone, the goddess of spring. The famous myth that almost everyone knows. Truly scary at first but it was all out of love, right? Right. However, what Hades did was wrong. Like some people say, there had been consequences for his actions. Deadly consequences. But this was just a legend. Something people really didn't believe in. And why would they? Places like Underworld surely did not exist. Hades did not exist. Neither did Persephone. Nobody knew where a person went after dying. Some believed in afterlife, some didn't.

His mother let out a shrill, hysterical laugh: "Thalia! Did you sell your soul to some dark god just to shed your mortality?!" Before she could utter another word, Zeus summoned a bolt of lightning that struck her squarely in the chest, sending her flying as she vomited blood: "Dare to insult my daughter again, and I will unleash the fires of heaven to boil your wretched oceans dry!" Realizing my true identity, the Atlantean delegation nearly died of fright, slamming their foreheads against the floor in terrified apologies. Only Orion sat paralyzed on the ground, staring up at me like a broken man, muttering: "The daughter of Zeus... How is that possible...?"
