Serenity slowed her eating and leaned back, watching Noah. In between mouthfuls of food, she asked questions. “Who’s Thorne? Where is he? Are you really a demon?”
Noah shrugged. “Yes, to the demon, and if the wings weren’t enough…” his gaze shifted to hers and flames danced across his eyes, his black pupils overtaking the brown and white.
Serenity’s chopsticks hovered in midair. “Cool…”
“As to Thorne? Well,” he put the empty container to the table and picked up another. “He’s the other half of this enterprise. He’s the dark half and the one you’ll meet after you learn to control the influx of power.”
