Chapter 40- Thinking Of The Future

Jamari’s POV

“How do you think Andrew and Ruth are doing?”

Levi snorts from his seated position on my tiny loveseat. “She hasn’t reported killing him as of yet, but the day is still young.”

“You think they’ve had sex yet?” I hear shuffling feet coming in my direction. I turn my head towards the entrance to my tiny kitchen where Levi is now standing, leaning against the wall with a frown on his face. “What’s with that look?” I ask, laughing.

I turn back to the bacon cooking in the pan, carefully moving them to a plate on the counter. I move the bacon pan to the side and pull another pan to the stove to begin cooking the pancakes.
