" After a string of insults, Corey blocked my number. In truth, it didn't matter anymore. Just moments later, all network communications collapsed. No calls could go through. No messages could be sent. Even standing on the desk with my mother offered little relief. The water soon rose to my armpits. My chest tightened; each breath became harder to draw. My mother was in even worse shape. If I hadn't been holding her, the water would have already swallowed her whole. In about twenty minutes, the flood would claim us both. "Michael, put me down. If you exhaust yourself, neither of us will survive." My mother's voice trembled. "It's okay. We'll definitely be rescued before we drown." I strained

Evelyn leaned on the sill of one of large drawing room windows, her forehead pressed against the glass. The intermittent rains and fitful breezes of the last week had become sustained downpours with whip-like winds over the course of the weekend in advance of a dark heavy line of clouds that hovered ominously on the distant horizon, but fortunately, hadn’t drawn nearer. “There’s flooding in the streets below,” she rasped through her bruised and swollen throat. On the sofa, Andrew flicked down the newspaper to look at her, uncertain he’d heard her correctly with her back turned and the noise of the storm outside. “Was that flooding you said, darling?”

Every day at the hospital, besides eating and drinking, I would chat with the young firefighter. I found out that my savior was from the same hometown as me and shared an interest in painting, giving us endless things to talk about. Every day in the hospital was joyful for me. That was, of course, until a call came in one night. "Emma White, where are you? How are you still not back yet?" Ethan's voice was accusatory right from the start. Well, that killed my good mood.

The Milky Way collapsed, and Ghost appeared. The scorching hot air waves around him were immediately impacted, and even a thick mist was emitted. The mighty torrent burst out with a loud noise, drowning the sun, moon, and stars, and violently colliding with the flaming palm in the air. Boom! The Milky Way collapsed and huge waves rolled. The flood directly poured onto the ground, drowning the earth. The lava on the ground suddenly cooled down and solidified into all sorts of strange landscape. A small piece of white light appeared in the center of the palm, glittering as if it had been frozen.

Even as Hayley called out, Ben was still crouched there, digging out the last crystal core. Hearing her, they started the engine again. Ben scrambled into the vehicle. Hayley frowned at the vehicle as it drove toward her, not in the mood to snap at them right now. The instant the vehicle reached the platform again, the glass doors behind her finally gave way. Crash! Crash! Shards of glass exploded outward. A tidal wave of zombies poured inside, and that was after the garage explosion had already pulled away most of the horde.
