*Ember* As the cart rolled along the dusty road, the familiar sights and sounds of a large group of people drew nearer. I looked up the road and realized that we had caught up with the rogue carnival’s caravan. As we approached, I saw Sawyer hop off a tall cart and stand off to the side as our cart rolled closer. When we were close enough, he started walking alongside us with a broad smile on his face. "Lovely Lady Lauryn, what an unexpected pleasure to see you again so soon!" With gritted teeth, Harley said, “I am willing to take the severing powder as well.” Hearing that, not just me, but everybody else in the hall was pushed into a state of extreme shock.

I was still looking at the woman with strange red eyes, something about her made me feel another level of discomfort. "I'm Sapphire, the second wife of Goliath." She told me. Her voice was seductive. I said, looking at everyone. There was a fourth person there, who had been quiet this whole time. It was a teenage boy, who had not once looked in my direction. He also had matte black hair, pale skin and glowing red eyes.
