Sparks erupted like lightning, and a blinding wave of red and gold light filled the room. Pain shot through Lila’s skull as Harper screamed inside her mind—furious, terrified, ecstatic all at once. He’s touching me! Harper shrieked. He’s inside your head! Lila staggered, clutching her temples. “Get out!” she cried, voice raw. “You don’t belong here!” The figure’s voice boomed inside her mind now, bypassing speech entirely: “You cannot banish what you do not understand.” Harper’s voice overlapped his, creating a chaotic chorus that made Lila’s thoughts fracture. We are one now. We are—

Harper When I step in, I freeze because Sophia is lying there on the floor with blood everywhere and a big stab wound right in her stomach and my brain shorts out for a second because Sophia was the one who used to sneak me those pills to keep me barren so I wouldn’t get knocked up by Elias and she was the one who whispered about that weird procedure to grow the baby outside my womb so it wouldn’t trap me and I'll be able to kill it and now she’s just bleeding out and not moving and I drop to my knees fast yelling “Sophia? Sophia wake up what the hell happened” but she doesn’t answer and her eyes are open staring at nothing and I feel my chest squeezing so tight I can barely breathe.

They roared. Sebastian looked at Harper. "You take the left. I take the right." Harper racked her sniper rifle. "I hate zoos." (End of Chapter 96)

I throw a small wave over my shoulder. "See you later, girls!" Harv calls back and continues the laborious job of laying out his fresh produce for the day. Every crate rattles down as it connects with concrete. We enter the bookshop. Technically, it is Arianna’s bookshop, I simply help out for spare change (and also so I could use the computer.)

Haru told Carmen, and she went straight to the exit door of the Carmen condo. Haru was walking towards the elevator when suddenly someone bumped into her, causing all the books held by the person who bumped into her to fall. She couldn't help it, but there were some books near her feet. She picked them up and stared at them for a long time, and then she smiled at the book she saw. "You're not looking where you're going! The very important books that I was holding are felt!" The person shouted to Haru who bumped into her. Haru lost her smile because of the man's words.

Others that sent shivers down my spine. The Blood Rite. The Lupus Regnum. Pack of the Ninth Howl. My breath hitched as I flipped further. Some of these things… They were supposed to be myths. Myths I wasn’t supposed to find in a journal sitting in Harper’s closet. “What are you doing?” I froze. The voice came from behind me—quiet, calm, but unmistakable. Harper. I turned slowly as my heart pounded so loud. She stood in the doorway, still barefoot from her walk, hair was slightly damp. But there wasn't any anger on her face.

How on Earth could he survive in the wild woods for three days and night if wasn't physically prepared? Harold grabbed a moist, oxblood handkerchief that had become a rag off a small shelf and ran it over the book he had in his hands instinctively. When the book's cover was squeaky clean, he placed it on top of another and sighed again, this time because he was mentally drained than physically. “What do I do now?” Harold asked his Geography lecturer softly, not knowing what his response will be. He picked up another book and curiously stared at its name, Anthony Jarvis’ ‘Greenland’. He grabbed the same moist rag and performed the same action he had the last time like a spell-bounded fellow,

"What do you mean, it's possible?" "I mean, Alo could be mated to a human." Harper grins triumphantly. "So it isn't impossible! Maybe Alo just feels intuitively that we're fated to be together." "Harper, no, you can't jump to conclusions. Alo knows nothing." I turn my back to her and ask Harvey quietly, "How can Alo be mated to a human?" Harvey is about to answer, but Harper topples him by announcing, "I want Alo to come back. He can explain himself."

He roars loudly shattering every glass within a mile radius, his roar destroys the building turning the massive building into pebbles ……………………✍🏾 I and Harp arrive in time at the church, after finishing up what I intended to do, I take a short break to catch my breath and play out how today will go in my head. It’s finally time so I go up the aisle with Harper beside me as we stand and wait for Haley.
