“Yes. We don’t understand why it’s having an even more pronounced effect than normal, but we know it’s a form of basilisk poison. It’s already absorbed entirely into the chieftain’s body, and it’s so potent that if we stop for even a moment, we think it might kill him outright. We can’t stop, madam. We need to focus.” Basilisk poison. Not home-concocted elixirs or viper poison or even wyrm poison. Basilisk poison. Those weren’t even native to this side of the continent, and there were any number of deadlier poisons easier to acquire. It was pure symbolism, the motive. What greater enemy of the fabled dragons than the basilisks? And what greater irony than to kill a chieftain who promised a r

Before I could regain my balance his both hands wrapped around my neck, choking me to death just like I did to Oliva but the difference was, I was far more gentler to her than he was to me. I tried to push him away and when I had no option I even commanded him using my alpha powers but he didn't even flinch a little like my voice didn't travel to his brain. I gasped for air, my eyes getting wet from pain but he showed me no mercy. I looked at his eyes they were burning with anger. I tried to make sense with him but he was blinded by something that I couldn't quite understand.

He pranked me on the first day he came back to this school! "Henry's the ice prince of our school, he's so cold, he even rejected the school's prettiest girls. He's handsome, smart and absolutely perfect in every aspect but we rarely see him smile, rumours also said that he's the only one who can beat up Kou." My seat mate continued "He's so perfect~" They stated, "But he won't even talk to girls..." I stuttered, " Are they really that dangerous?..." "They are. They can break your heart in an instant."

asked Harry in whispering voice. After observing every part of the kingdom, and upon observation of the movement of Gaymo, the giant snake, they had an initial plan on how to defeat the enemy. They immediately left the place when Gaymo noticed something… “We have visitors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she shouted. They all ran quickly towards the 5th room, and they returned back to the Earth. *** “I cannot believe my mom has turned into something so wicked…. Snake, the symbol of evil,” said Harry and he made the sign of the cross.

she asked just to be sure. “Yes I’m sure mum”. VVVVV Inside the safety of his room, he locked his door and peeled of his wet clothes tossing them in the hamper. He walked into the bathroom. He closed it also and turned his back to the mirror and took a picture. The cobra, a huge contrast to his white skin. Ink black all curled up and baring his fangs. He had always been fascinated with snakes and not just snakes. Any animal that was poisonous. Always wanted to know how their toxins worked on predator and prey. Others found it weird, but his father was proud of his curiosity.

The large, venomous purple snake crawled towards her, and the mother freaked out as the snake climbed on her body, gliding its scaly self around her until it reached the baby. The mother was helpless as she saw the snake relax on her baby’s arm, below shoulder level, as it burned on the baby’s skin and turned into a tattoo that glows. Despite the pain, the mother was shocked to see that her baby had immediately stopped crying as her black hair had turned white, her dark brown eyes were now translucent, and an amulet was adorned around her baby’s neck.

The palace light dimmed as the shadows shaped themselves into blades and fangs to attack The Basilisk elders hissed, their golden eyes flaring, attempting to rupture his blood vessels where he stood but their power shattered like glass against his immunity. Glacy’s draught, brewed in secrecy and fed to him for weeks, had hardened his blood against their gaze. Their magic recoiled, backfiring, venom curdling in their throats, turning them inside out from within.

My eyes remained fixed on the Flame Lily behind the basilisk, glowing faintly in the darkness. "For Maverick…" I murmured. Finally, I found a chance. When the basilisk lunged at me again, I didn't dodge and rushed straight toward it instead. With my remaining intact arm, I plunged the hunting knife deep into the soft flesh of its abdomen. The basilisk shrieked in pain. Its massive tail, coated in petrifying venom, whipped across my face. I screamed. A searing, hot pain exploded in my left eye before the world on my left side went completely dark.

Right in front of me, a snow basilisk was baring its fangs, venom and poison dripping from its jaws. I flinched at the sight of the green-scaled monster and bolted in the opposite direction, only to realize I couldn’t outrun a reptile that owned this territory. I’d have to zig-zag if I wanted any chance, but that would drain me fast. Snow basilisks were specially mutated creatures that had adapted to all kinds of environments. This one was a master hunter, with a kill rate around ninety-seven percent. My heart hammered against my ribs. It was big, but only came up to my chest, perfectly suited for this terrain. The thought of their usual massive size made my skin crawl even more.

“Roar” With a loud roar Aiden announced his presence and reminded the basilisk of what was coming. The eyes of the Dusk Basilisk were filled with wariness upon seeing Aiden’s change. It slithered backwards slightly and forked out its tongue to release a feeble hiss. “Oh no you don’t,” Aiden’s eyes flashed with understanding upon seeing the snake’s movements. He hadn’t seen it before, but when the Dusk Basilisk made its move right now, it had exposed a large hole behind it. The hole was large enough to accommodate the large body of the Dusk Basilisk. Aiden swiftly noticed a few more of such holes all around him. They were likely dug by the basilisk and were connected. It was the damn beast’s
