The Mate Games

The Mate Games

In the far corner is a sink and a crude-looking toilet. Hooks line one of the walls, all empty. The air smells like rust and dust. But then, something catches my eye. A shelf near the back, almost hidden in shadow. Not plastic packages this time. Books. Old ones. Their spines are worn, leather cracked. Some have gold filigree. Others are thick and bound in cloth. I move closer, squinting to read the faded titles. “Lineage of Power.” “The Lost Coronation.” “Treaties of the First Blood.”

I've read all 104 chapters released until now. I have to say that I really liked the book until the last 5 pages. The thoughtful, brave girl we all knew until now is now stupid female that almost became the reason the male character got killed. There is not really any reason that can be an excuse

Fire and Ice (The alliance Book 1)

Fire and Ice (The alliance Book 1)

Most of the books were more ledgers than anything, records of the pack’s history, but there was small section of classic books, some of which appeared to be first editions. Feeling a little excited over the prospect I searched the title, looking at the familiar names, the literary classics, before stopping on a title I had never heard of by an author I didn’t know. I was a big reader I always had been, so it was rare for me to come across an old book that held no recognition whatsoever. With a careful touch I pulled the leather-bound book from the shelf and read through the blurb finding myself amused as I discovered that the book was story of werewolves, apparently written by a human, a fan

you know it's really disheartening to purchase the chapters of a book and find it's not finished and has not had an update in months. I believe that as customers, we should be reimbursed if the author is no longer going to update the story and finish it. I am very disappointed.

Loving this story! Lots of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. The author did have some issues updating for a month or so, but we all have IRL issues. Glad she is back! Can’t wait to see where she will lead us next!

The Human and the Vampire.

The Human and the Vampire.

She smiled and took the hands of the man back into the cover before covering him up to his belly with the spread. Scott was in discomfort having someone's hands roaming all over his body. Plus it was not just anyone's hands, it was that of a woman and the woman was also a human; the creatures he hated the most. Much as he would like to slap the hands away and warn her never to get any closer to him, he reined his emotions in. Even if he didn't hate humans, didn't the woman know that it was wrong for her to keep moving her hands all over a man? Or did she think that the male species' body was made without any emotion? Such that wouldn't allow them to feel anything for such a daring woman?

The Wife He Never Saw: Carrying His Secret Twins In Silence

The Wife He Never Saw: Carrying His Secret Twins In Silence

I stood at the kitchen window with the tea and looked at the garden where the March light was doing its early spring thing, the specific quality of light that was returning to the world after the low months, longer and more direct each day, the light that arrived before the warmth and was the announcement of the warmth coming. Then I went back to the studio and opened the envelope. The fourth volume covered the integumentary system, which was the skin and everything contained within it, which was the thing that held a person together, the literal boundary between a person and the world. I had chosen this for the fourth volume deliberately.

The Unwanted Wife and Her Secret Twins

The Unwanted Wife and Her Secret Twins

Just being in the room. The window showed Baltimore. Gray sky. Gray buildings. A parking structure across the street with cars arranged in neat rows. Someone had left a red sedan on the fourth level, driver's side door not fully closed. I'd noticed it yesterday. It was still there. The door opened. Ethan came in carrying a book. He'd found the hospital library on the second day—a small room on the third floor with outdated magazines and medical textbooks and a shelf of paperback novels with cracked spines. He'd been working his way through a book about the human brain. It had a diagram of a neuron on the cover.

The Lycan's Runaway Bride

The Lycan's Runaway Bride

I get dressed in the clothes that Alice has picked out for me and make myself presentable in the bathroom before following her to the library. Alice opens the heavy wooden door to the library. Inside, at one of the desks, sits a skinny man with balding brown hair. He’s hunched over a book and doesn’t seem to notice at first as I approach, but as I come closer he suddenly speaks. “Good morning,” he says, turning the page in his book. I look down to see that the book is open to an illustrated page that depicts a Bear and a Swan fighting. The top of the page reads ‘The Final Summit’.

The Human Wolf

The Human Wolf

She rolled her eyes as they continued to trek deep into the garden that was made up of beautiful flowers that were nicely trimmed "Yes, take for instance the city of Karak. When you read about it, you will think there is no single human in the city but we all know that is a lie because the Queen herself is a Human. We can put it this way; books can give you the idea of a place but only when you visit the place will you have the full experience" Lydia nodded her head as they sat down on a chair in the garden "Okay, I believe. You win" "It was not an argument, but I will gladly take the victory" They both smiled.

The book with the red cover! “OMG!” Aki gasped. “Is this really it?” “Aye,” Sasha said. “You… stole… a book… from the library?” was the first thought that filled Aki’s mind. “Umm…” Sasha was taken aback. “Aye but it was for a good cause.” Temujin and Aki weren’t listening anymore. Their eyes were devouring the book. The title on the front cover was long. “The Feasibility of Using Galvinism for Ki Reanimation,” Temujin read aloud and then he and Aki both gasped.

The Professor, My Mate

The Professor, My Mate

The mythology section occupied the library's third floor, accessible only by a narrow staircase that creaked with every single step. Most students avoid it, claiming it gave them the creeps. Tonight, I understood what they meant. My footsteps echoed too loudly in the silent library. I found the book I needed tucked between dusty volumes on medieval superstitions. Lunar Mythology and Human Transformation by Dr. Mark Jones. The spine of the book was worn smooth, showing more readers than the circulation card indicated. "Interesting choice," I tilted my head slightly to a side as I swiftly flipped its pages. I spun around, my heart pounding faster. A young man emerged from between the stacks, h

Ruin Me Step Daddy: Forbidden Cravings

Ruin Me Step Daddy: Forbidden Cravings

The university library’s restricted upper floor was nearly deserted by 9 PM. Only the faint hum of fluorescent lights and the occasional creak of old wooden shelves broke the silence. Mia had claimed a corner table in the rare books section, surrounded by towering stacks that smelled of dust, leather, and aged paper. Her laptop was open to notes on *Delta of Venus*, but her mind was elsewhere—specifically on the thick load of Professor Vale’s cum still faintly leaking into the fresh pair of panties she’d changed into after his office.
