I was so used to eating once or twice a day, and usually in small portions, so in my mind I had eaten enough to last me until the next day. The room door opened and I heard someone walk in, I assumed it was just another maid so I didn't bother looking up."You can leave it on the table next to the other. She glanced at the book for a while before she turned to the other side of the room, in as much as it gave her a much needed insight about the other realm, she wasn't able to discover the connection of her classmates' dissappereance to all of that.

His body was that of a falcons but he still had his human head. He lifted his left wing and saw the action being mirrored by his shadow. He had turned into a hybrid of some sort. I grabbed the long broom and cleaned the floors, tidying up the books on the shelves when I stumbled on a book with a strange title. "How to sacrifice humans to idols." That was the title of the book. For a moment, my mind beat very fast. It felt like it was specifically written by someone who knew me, and wanted to sacrifice me to idols. I was a wolf of course, but I've got a human body too. I turned the pages of the book, trying to see if I could practice one of those spells written there. I wasn't a witch neither was I a warlock. Did this mean that there's a witch somewhere in the pack but the Alpha, Simon, doesn't want to let us know?

When it stopped, I unconsciously recoiled from the pictures on the page, finding it difficult to grasp what I saw. "What are those things?" I finally asked. The creatures had dark and hairy bodies. Their arms and legs were the same lengths, similar in proportion to an ape.

Roman asked me like someone who is always annoying, and I sighed deeply, throwing the book away at the wall, making him jump out of fright.

He showed me the page of a book with a picture of humans with spears attacking creatures who were half-human and half-wolf. “Eventually,” he took the book back to flip through it again, “werewolves fought back and gradually took control of our society.” He showed me another page, this one with a picture of a werewolf stepping on a human’s neck and confiscating their spears. I barely took in the image before he snapped the book shut and handed it to me. I took it, reading the title: The Hidden History: The Werewolf-Human War Through The Great Claiming. “What’s The Great Claiming?” I asked.

After that I walked into the lecture hall about ten minutes late for classes. Instead of the calm I expected to see, the entire hall was louder than normal. The professor hadn't arrived yet. The girls were clustered in groups and whispering fast with soft giggles. Guys leaned over desks with their phones out, showing each other something. “Did you see him yet?” one girl asked her friend. “They say he’s from the UK." Her friend squealed a reply. "He's so hot. And I heard he wrote like three books on advanced dynamics.”
