Spade

Spade

He furrowed his brows, it looked like a bullet, actually it was a bullet but a little bigger than a bullet. "Do you know what this is"? Spade asked and Nate shook his head, wondering what Spade was getting at, he nodded before he pulled out something else from the pack, it looked like a remote, very tiny but a remote nonetheless. "Come here" Spade commanded and Nate looked at him skeptically before he finally scooted closer to Spade, he wrapped his hands around Nate's waist and a yelp escaped Nate's lips as Spade had overturned him and he was laying on Spade's thighs, with his ass up for the man.

Sweet Revenge

Sweet Revenge

Quinn spoke sternly, trying to avoid Harvey's face that was so close to hers. However, within Quinn's entire sentence, he only heard one phrase clearly: "won't be able to stand anymore." Harvey scooped her up suddenly, catching her off guard. She instinctively clung to his neck, her body curling up like a tiny shrimp, eyes tightly shut. Harvey effortlessly held Quinn's delicate frame in his arms.

VENGEANCE

VENGEANCE

I was manacled and I had to accept my death. Suddenly, as if like a messiah on a distressful, wretched day, something represented itself in front of me, my gaze halted on it. A bush. Large enough to hide myself in it. I almost cried in relief as I crawled towards it, my knees and elbows getting scratched in the process. As I hid my tiny body in it, I could hear their footsteps nearing. My heartrate picked up, my bodily pain long forgotten. All I could hear at that moment was my blood pounding through my veins and their footsteps.

I want to scoop her up and remove her from this, but I can't. I land a right to his cheek, and when his eyes close for a second, I look to see my mate running full blast in our direction. A massive blade clutched tightly in her tiny hand. I watch in slight shock as she plunges it into the Gafrop's side, but when I realize her wound isn't lethal, I react instantly. I grab his head and snap his neck. His body falls with a loud thud, and Krystal smiles. Her eyes don't even shift from his body before they roll back in her head, and my heart stops.

I’ve now read this book twice. It was fantastic the first time and I caught things I missed the second time. Great storyline, no rushing through the story and I felt like it ended with no loose ends. Can’t wait to read about more of the characters in the next book!

Defenders of the Crown

Defenders of the Crown

Having already memorised the map, she moved to the back with two soldiers trailing behind her. At the back entrance, she saw five zombies lazing around and cursed silently. She didn't intend to get her hands dirty so early. Reaching into her backpack, pulled out her favourite weapon she named Seraph. Seraph was a sharp double-edged machete. In two swift movements, she had the five zombies dropped to the ground, each sporting a hole in their heads. Diana grimaced at the sight of the black blood on Seraph and she had just had it cleaned.

Billionaire's Accidental Wife

“Woah! this is way way older than those in Leba.” He cupped his palm and scraped away more dirt with the bridge of it. This second layer was more difficult to move, but he was still able to do it, resulting in a larger trench. Shawn stood up again, satisfied he could work with this, and set down his gear bag. He unzipped the secondary pouch and fished out his hunting knife. The grey handle contrasted with the black coating over the steel blade within the sheath, but he did not intend to dull his knife in the dirt. The sheath would work just fine.

Wind Chill

CHAPTER 15 Emma perused the assortment of tools lining the safe room wall with her bug-out bag in hand. Cripes, it feels like I’m shopping in a hardware store. Her fingers brushed the handle of an axe before drawing away and grabbing the hatchet beside it instead. She lifted the sheathed blade free of the pegboard, testing the weight with a practice swing. Satisfied, Emma pulled a roll of duct tape down and secured the handle to the side of the bag.

Metal whined and clanked as the Gearbanes were rive with activity. Swinging, firing and shattering any of the Fangsworn they encountered. Ragehog’s grappling hook was a devastating melee weapon up close, folded into a spike it served as a gigantic stake. While Thornrat carried a long pick axe, which by now was stained with blood and wood from the enemy dead. The Gearbanes were called such, due to the noise their gears would produce while in battle. As if their internal contraptions were close to giving way from the strain of their power.
