Putting my hand over my chest, I gasped when suddenly I heard a husky voice right next to my ears. Someone mumbled, "Don't look into the cat's eyes."

I called over my shoulder Burney nodded and leapt what took me four steps to cover before disappearing through the broken pane. I stepped in after him and cringed, landing on top of the wet flesh of a Taken. Panic coursed through my veins as I stepped off its cooling body. All his wounds were glass related, which meant the shade was still here. I swallowed my fear and looked up.
