Beneath The Mask
“You know you want to. It’s not like my father would find out.”
Her lips come too close to mine. I go to push her back, but before I can, she’s yanked off me. Ghost stands between us, his eyes blazing as they lock onto mine.
I can’t help it—I smirk. Foolish, because it sets him off.
His hand clamps around my throat, and he drags me up, slamming me hard against the wall. “You were fucking warned,” he growls.
“Ghost! Let him go, you giant ape!” Josie yells, trying to pull him back. I give her a quick shake of my head, silently telling her to leave it. She hesitates, then sighs and steps back.
