I woke up half dead. My heart began pounding fast in my chest, the blood pumping through my veins... A nightmare? I felt tightness in my chest as I struggled to breathe. I shoved the werewolf book aside with was lying on my stomach. Mom was right. Reading all those werewolf stuff gave me a freaking nightmare. I wanted to get up but my whole body felt numb, tired and dead... I couldn't die from a nightmare, right? Like seriously. Dragging my whole I reached my bathroom somehow which felt like I have already walked a mile to reach here.

Despite the fact that he was the son of my adversary, I felt a spark when our flesh met. I introduced him after hauling him up, and I heard some voices chanting Devon's name. At the same time, rain began to pour, allowing me to flee the area. Devon's gaze shifted to the opposite side. Devon's eyes was drawn back to me as I reverted to a Werewolf. When he returned his focus to where I was standing, he was perplexed as to how I had vanished. His family came up to him and gave him an anxious embrace. I was hiding behind the bushes and could clearly hear their voices.

I could hear my bones snap and rearrange in place, my eyes already glowing it's usual fiery red. "Kaden," I heard Ava's soft voice call from beside me. "Don't worry Sinclair, none of these bastards are going to lay a finger on you. I'll protect you!" His expression looked so serious that I expected the worst. “What? What is it?” I pressed my hands to my chest, my voice tight with anxiety. Before Magnus could answer me, I felt it in the air: like static before a storm. The hair on my arms stood up, and I got goosebumps all over. My wolf surged to the surface with so much force; it was impossible to stop her. The change was sudden and painful. Bones broke and rearranged themselves. Silver fur burst through my skin. My screams turned into howls. Seconds later, my wolf shook out her pale fur and lifted her head to sing to the moon.

Its massive claws dug into the earth as it halted directly in front of her. The entire field fell silent. Nobody moved. Nobody breathed. The woman slowly lifted a hand. The wild wolf lowered its head. The moment her fingers touched its fur, the spikes covering its body began to disappear. Gasps spread throughout the crowd. One by one, the sharp black spikes slid back beneath the wolf's skin. The terrifying monster that had terrified all of Septha began to change. Its posture relaxed. Its muscles loosened. The yellow glow in its eyes softened and turned blue.

Why did it look like he was communicating with the animal? Looking around the car, wolves and humans alike were staring at each other in silence; it almost looked like they were communicating without words. For some reason, Marcus nodded to the wolves in the back of the SUV again. The next moment, the back of the car was filled with the horrific sound of bones breaking and shifting as the timber wolf slowly lost its fur and began to change, fur slowly receding into the skin, and limbs elongating. The cream-colored undercoat disappeared and was replaced with pale skin, and the muzzle seemed to sink into itself, blending to create a strong jaw and straight nose.

“Y-Your Highness!” I inhale sharply, pulling her back onto the carriage floor. “Stay down.” She nods rapidly, leaning against the seat I just vacated and holding herself tightly, her knees up against her chin. I close the curtain quickly but leave a small crack of it open, just enough to see what’s happening outside. Right away, I regret the choice. One of the wolves, a slightly larger, black one, begins to transform, his body contorting rapidly while he stands upright, black fur melting away to be replaced by skin—human, naked skin.

The golden pup’s fur began to crack with glowing lines, radiating a blinding light that made it impossible for anyone to keep their eyes open. “A true Golden Werewolf! I can’t see!” “It’s coming! It’s coming!” Everyone craned their necks and kept their eyes wide, trying desperately to catch a glimpse. Damian laughed loudly. “A Divine Werewolf descends! All shall bow before me! I am the King of the Werewolf Alliance!” As the light began to dim, the pup’s form started to shift. The crowd held its breath. “What is that?” “A black werewolf?” At the very moment everyone expected glory, the golden pup transformed into a grotesque, malformed Omega Black Werewolf.

Unfortunately, It's apparent that during my summer vacation, I will live in the very place that has impacted my life more than words could fathom alone. My stomach churns and I pray to whatever entity is in charge among all those gods and goddesses at the moment to not make me throw up again. “It was perfect,” I push out, my voice only coming out in a high-pitched whisper, embarrassingly nearly failing me. “Thank you so much for the lovely night.” Opening the door, my eyes remain glued to his smug expression while I exit the vehicle backwards. *** “Werewolves really are something else,” Gilda giggles, plopping a french fry into her mouth.
