Chosen to be Betrayed
The bushes rustle and twigs snap under heavy steps.
“Be prepared. We’re not alone anymore,” I whisper.
From the shadows step monstrous figures, inhumanely large and muscular, with disproportionately big heads, green skin, lupine ears, and boar-like lower canines. They hunch forward, ape-like, as if failed human experiments.
As they approach, we totter back in fear.
“Werewolves,” one of them chuckles darkly. “You already have the entire kingdom. Why come here to steal our lands too?”
