Shirley's POV Right from the moment I and the other girls entered the loud and bustling hall, we fell into a state of utter confusion and dismay. She pushed it open and stepped into the night outside of the Crimson Pack’s walls, where a small forest stretched ahead Adeline paused for a moment to catch her breath, not paying attention to the wound yet. She knew she had to keep moving. With one last look back towards the wall that surrounded the pack house, Adeline turned and ran into the forest.

Adaline could neither talk nor could she scream as she continued holding her chest. Irene noticed what was happening as she called her name but Adaline, who couldn't hear anything at that moment, didn't answer. A few seconds later, Adaline suddenly fell off her wheelchair as she lay lifeless on the ground. “Mother!!!”

The more she walked, the less she saw anyone, until she was completely alone. As she turned the corner, she saw Tina standing there. A gun in her hand. “Good girl,” Tina grinned. “I like people who obey instructions. Turn off your phone and hand it over.” Adele obeyed. “Where is Jay?” “Let's go see him. How is Dan? Hope all this hasn’t upset him?” Adele ignored her. They walked until they came to a rundown house. “It used to be a beach house for a elderly couple who have both died.” Tina explained, pushing her in.

Vaelora Fuck! 'Haunting Adeline' caused all these. It rewired my brain in ways I still don’t understand. And now, I don't know if I love being stalked or if I hated it. Well, if I'm to analyse it.. if I try to be honest with myself I loved the thrill I read from the story when Adeline was being stalked by Zade. The way he watched Adeline, the way his presence was always there, heavy and intoxicating. It made my pulse race. Yet, I hated the fact that her stalker got eery and eery every freaking page I flipped. Like dude, either step into the light or crawl back into whatever shadow you crawled out of.

The lie tasted bitter because the truth was I hadn’t stopped immediately. I had searched for months or maybe a year. But Adeline has disappeared. No address, no workplace and no phone number. It was as if she had vanished from existence. Eventually, I gave up. Life moved on or at least I convinced myself it had. “You’re thinking again,” Mira said. “I have work.” I replied “You always have work.” “And you always talk too much.” I said and she laughed. “Fine. Call me later.” I grabbed my car keys and headed for Hartley Corporation. The drive took twenty minutes, but my mind was elsewhere.
