Weeks gone by and after wallowing in her loss, Eve decided to pay Adam a visit. Knowing both Kristopher and Khalid would stop her from leaving, she sneaked out from the cottage and travels to Dzhimara without anyone’s knowledge. It took her hours to reach to Dzhimaar, a shorter time than she had before. From the scroll Abenore had kept, Eve now have zero worries of entering Dzhimara. Leo and Jake practically ran over to the bar and began making drinks. They paused when we heard another peal of laughter from the girls and Hart. We smiled at the sound.

I threw back at him, causing Rowland to laugh, drawing some attention to us as we settled on a booth in the cafeteria. “You are so funny Rose, and I still can't believe you are friends with Eve” He added, as his chuckles subsided. “Who is Eve?” “Evelyn! The hot shot model with you at the bar last night” “Ohh, right. Her stage name right?” I asked to bring out my laptop and the snacks as well. Just as Rowland was about to say something, another voice interrupted him from behind. “Here you are and your boyfriend is going crazy looking for you all over the campus with balloons and flowers, how cute is that?” Kara sneered as she sashayed forward, taking a seat beside Rowland.

She swallowed hard, her eyes darting toward the closed bedroom doors. "The guard at the door," Eve blurted out. I froze, my brow pulling into a tight, hard line. "What?" "The guard you placed outside my room yesterday evening," Eve insisted, her voice raspy as she sat up higher against the headboard. "Robb. It's Robb. That is who I feel it towards." Slid his knife into the base where the wires connected. Sparks exploded. Gun 1: disabled. Gun 2 turned. Noa dropped, rolled, grabbed a loose pipe, flung it. Direct hit. Gun 2 sparked. And died. The room went dark again. For a second. Then floodlights. The far wall opened. Eve stood there. Dressed in black leather, heels clicking, hair wild around her shoulders, a gun in her hand and a smile that promised nightmares. “Still standing,” she murmured. “Still stupid.”

Eve’s POV She stood in front of the lead vehicle, calm and composed and utterly unafraid, as if she had not just triggered explosions and activated a conditioned assassin and revealed herself as the architect of a conspiracy that had spanned decades. Her dark tactical clothing was smudged with dust from the blasts, but her posture was as straight and dignified as it had ever been in the courtroom. Her silver hair was still pulled back in its severe braid. Her eyes were still cold and sharp and utterly without mercy.
