Her heel slipped on the edge of the stair. “Fedora!” he called. She gasped as she missed her steps while coming down the outside staircase. In a flash, Jason was sprinting. The world tilted. Stairs rushing by in a blur—until she landed with a breath-stealing thud… right on top of him.

Alice’s back was pressed against a cold marble gravestone, her chest rose and fell to the hammering rhythm of her heart. She was heaving mad. This was the main reason she hated wearing heels, those shits were unreliable in a fight, it places you at the receiving end of a reaper’s spear and she knew full well what that receiving end felt like. She hissed at the sight of the clipped heel.

I give up. Soon, the most awaited moment commenced. It was the time for the show stopper to show up and flaunt the epochal piece of her squad. All the eyes were set on the middle of the ramp where the light was focused. The first glimpse was of a seven-inch high heel. Yes… seven inches! That’s quite a painful thing in a model’s life. Once they get on their heels they ought to tip-tap them in the right way so that they don't look like they are in pain. Instead, they need to show it like they are wearing sneakers.

That, was just the beginning of something tragic. Apparently, according to my sweet boyfriend dear, I'm irresponsible, lazy, blah blah blah. So, as an act of irresponsibility that morning, I left the banana peel on the floor. That's crazy right? But what made it even crazier was Gideon slipped on it. How does a normal person slip on a banana peel? I personally found it funny. Gideon the victim found it funny! Even the cockroaches in our dorm found it funny. But Jesse didn't one bit.

I mean it’s not really a tent, the darn thing is air conditioned, it has a sort of roof but there is grass on the floor,” Brad said. Great, heels in the grass. I had to wonder if I could go barefoot, who would notice? I slipped on my heels and immediately hated them. My feet always felt crushed and for what? *Those heels could make for a good weapon,* Mila said, perking up.

He ran barefoot across the sand with his arms wide open. As the wind blew, he called out, "Jeanette!" He turned around to look at me. "I'm here."

Cathleen's heels clicked on the polished concrete, a staccato rhythm lost amidst the moans and sharp slaps echoing through the dimly lit hall. Velvet ropes created islands of debauchery in a sea of eager observers. Her gaze flitted around, trying to anchor herself in this new reality.
