His shoulders rise and fall rapidly with pent-up anger radiating off him. “I lost our baby. Didn’t I?” I pull back and look at him, using the back of my hand to wipe my nose. “Yes.” He hoarsely grounds out in English as he looks down at me with tears threatening his eyes. “No….” I cry out, and he crushes me to him. So he wasn’t able to ruin me physically, just emotionally destroyed me. My heart begins to feel heavy with heartache, and I can understand how a broken heart can be the death of you.

However, I had learned a painful lesson that people's hearts were a fickle lot, and it was rare to find anyone truly sincere about their feelings. "Give me some time, Brian," I said quietly. Brian nodded gently. "Alright. I'll wait." After getting home, I saw the long email that Queenie sent to me. Every word she wrote was full of remorse, saying that she regretted losing me as a close friend, and there was nothing else she could say to me aside from apologizing again and again. I stared at the email for a long time. Misty sighed and said, "A mistake is a mistake, and there's no use regretting it because nothing can be undone."

"When two people really love each other, and then one of them, could be the boy or the girl. Love someone new, or leaves the first person he was with, for another girl. The first girl would be sad, and hurt. Or if someone dies in a family, and the members cry, and start feeling sad and hurt, you can say they are heartbroken." I explained in as quick as I could, in the weirdest way as possible. And her eyes dilated in amazement at this. "So if you take me back to where you found me, I am definitely going to cry because I would be sad. And then hurt that you left me. So I can call that an heartbreak, yeah?"

The pain in my voice echoed through the night, a haunting reminder of my shattered dreams and broken heart. The realization hit me like a ton of bricks—our bond was irreparably broken, and no amount of wishing or hoping could change that. As I howled in pain, another howl joined mine, sounding as painful and heartbreaking as my own.
