Her Last Death

Her Last Death

The tension snapped violently tight. For a moment, I was completely torn - part of me wanted to kiss him, but another part wanted to lash out and hurt him. Maybe both. Then voices echoed somewhere deeper in the tunnels. The moment shattered. Near dawn, the ruins finally opened. I stopped dead. A huge city lay hidden deep beneath the ground, size stretching its massive out under the earth. Black stone towers rose beside massive bridges suspended over glowing crimson canals. Lanterns burned red through the darkness while crowds moved silently through narrow streets far below.

Healing with the monster

Healing with the monster

It would be our only window—a fraction of a second to detach a eighty-pound iron press, throw ourselves into the dark ditches of the outer suburbs, and vanish into the urban underground before the corporate eye could register the drop. I looked down through the iron grating at the dark, blurred horizon ahead. The stars were beginning to fade, replaced by a low, massive dome of amber light that stained the southern sky—the unmistakable electronic glow of the capital city. The sixth edition was already riding the crates above us, but Chapter 123 was ending, and the final intersection was rushing toward us at sixty miles an hour.

Dirty Valentine’s Secret

Dirty Valentine’s Secret

The "City of Stone" breathed in "High-Frequency" pulses of data and "Gilded" electricity. To the "Sovereign," New Geneva was a "Total Sector Harmony" of surveillance and "Social Influence." But to Ethan Hawke, standing in the "Analog" dampness of a subterranean transformer vault, the city was a "Labyrinth" of vulnerabilities waiting for a "System-Collapse."

Marked From Birth

Marked From Birth

The city let out a collective gasp as people woke up, coughing the spores out of their lungs. Aethelgard lurched forward, breaking through a wall of titan-moss into a clearing that revealed the "Heart of the West"—a city grown entirely out of white, petrified wood, pulsing with a deep, rhythmic amber light. It was the "Source" the First King had feared, and it was waiting for Audrey to make a choice.

the assistant replied. His assistant handed him the donation agreement that I had signed. Joseph did not take it. He turned his face away, and his shoulders trembled violently. Despair radiated from him. Yvette felt extremely happy inside after confirming that I was dead. However, she felt furious about receiving my heart.

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

"The dark mirror of the Heart. While the Heart gives life, the Core gives... silence." "Where is it?" Jack swung his legs out of bed. "Below us," Cain pointed at the floor. "Deep in the bedrock. Below the subways. Below the sewers. In the place where the city's electric grid grounds itself. If you can reach it... if you can touch it with that Hand..." "What happens?" "You become a switch," Cain said. "A fuse. You can channel that energy. You can threaten to overload the entire grid. You can hold the city hostage."

The Games of the Heart

The Games of the Heart

"Thank you, Stefano. I'm okay, really. Just surprised." As I turn to look out the window, watching the city streets blur past, I can't shake the feeling that I'm driving straight into the heart of my nightmares. Rome, the eternal city, holds eternal pain for me – and I'm not sure I'm ready to face it. Seeking comfort, I reach for his hand, twining our fingers together and squeezing gently. As his piercing green eyes meet mine, I see the concern and affection swirling in their depths, and for a moment, I allow myself to get lost in his gaze, the warmth of his touch chasing away the chill of my haunting past.

Awesome! This is the second book I’ve read from this author and it is outstanding! Love this family and their story. Wonderful storyline, written well, held my interest, strong characters, not drawn out and just an amazing love story. Adding you to my favorite list author. Will be reading more.

I loved this book. The grammar and English were great. I’ve partly read and quit several books on there that were literally unreadable. I got a little confused on Andrea’s family not knowing Stefano but it was explained later.

The Quest Of The Sapphire Crown

The Quest Of The Sapphire Crown

And with each door opened, the city's heartbeat grew stronger, the rhythm more profound. Beyond the library, in the city's outskirts, the ancient forest whispered tales of the city's heartbeat. The rustling leaves, the murmuring streams, the nocturnal creatures going about their lives – all were part of the city's rhythm. It was a rhythm that spoke of harmony with nature, of respect for all forms of life, and of the balance that came from understanding and appreciating the world in all its diversity.

The Alpha Biker's Healer

The Alpha Biker's Healer

A jagged fracture raced directly through the center of the square. Stone exploded upward. Dust filled the air. Everyone scrambled backward. The crack widened. Five feet. Ten feet. Twenty. And beneath it— My breath stopped. There was no ground. No earth. No foundation. Only darkness. An endless void stretching downward beyond sight. The city hadn't been built on a mountain. It had been built over something. Something vast. Something imprisoned. The realization hit me like a hammer. The city itself was the prison. Every tower. Every street.

MY EX IS PREGNANT FOR ME

MY EX IS PREGNANT FOR ME

I could hear the low, pulsing resonance of the Heart even here — as if it was breathing beneath the city. We descended deeper. Each level felt older, colder. Mira scanned a rusted panel and the door slid open with a hiss. A staircase spiraled downward into a chamber of dim blue light. “This is it,” she whispered. “The Deep Layer.” The space was vast — an underground cathedral of metal ribs and glass veins. The Heart’s energy coursed through transparent conduits, lighting up the walls like veins beneath translucent skin. In the center, a large sphere hovered — pulsing softly with every heartbeat in the city above.
