STONE HEARTED
I leaned closer to him, whispering his name softly, hoping that he could hear me, that he could feel my presence.
"Kelvin?" I murmured, my voice trembling.
The humming continued, and a tear escaped from the corner of Kelvin's closed eye. My heart swelled, and I knew – somehow, he was aware of my presence.
I brushed my fingers gently against his cheeks as I stood up, feeling a mixture of emotions swirling within me. It was almost painful to see him in this state – so close yet still so far away.
I took a hesitant step toward the door, my mind tangled with a web of thoughts. Just as I was about to leave, I heard it again – that soft humming, a gentle melody that tugged at my heartstrings.
