Without glancing at me, he dips into a bowl of red acrylic paint, then sketches the shape of a heart in a blank canvass. While his hand moves deftly in gentle strokes, I notice that he gets himself lost in what he is doing. I feel like he has forgotten that I’m there.

I whined, but she only laughed harder. Needing to escape her teasing, I flopped onto my desk chair, pulling out my sketchbook. This would be the very first time that I’ll be giving Lucifer a love letter and I just hope he’ll love it. I drew a cartoon of a boy frowning with a girl smiling beside him holding each other’s hands then I wrote a ‘Happy Valentine’s Day, Love!’ in the middle of the card’s front page. I put some heart stickers and ribbons on each side then some glitters inside after I wrote my message to him. It was simple yet cute for me. I'll give it to him tomorrow with the chocolate that I'll be making.
