He forced my other wrist up and the second cuff snapped shut. I was trapped. Arms stretched above my head. Face pressed into the sheets. My ass still bare from when he ripped my shorts. Panic clawed up my throat. I pulled at the cuffs but they didn't budge. The metal cut into my skin. "Let me go. Please." I hated how my voice cracked. I hated begging him. But I was scared. Really scared. This never happened with my former captor. He stepped back. I heard him breathing. Slow. Controlled. Like he was thinking. Planning what to do to me next.

The ease of it all left her feeling a little disappointed. Time drifted by like an endless nightmare. Cara had tried countless ways to escape, but after each failed attempt, the guards only tightened their surveillance. At first, they still opened the door to bring her food and clothes, but later on, everything was passed through a narrow slot. She was completely cut off from any others contact. I was with him and it never felt so right despite of it being truly wrong.

Monday Chase's POV I gathered my books and notebooks into one box, fitting them all in, and placed them beside my already packed bag before I stood straight and took a quick glance around me, at the room that kept me captive for the past two and a half months. It was supposed to feel like a prison. But it didn't. The people in my life didn't let it be.

I looked at the ground in disappointment, knowing there weren’t any clear answers. “Except for one,” Petra added. My eyes widened as I looked at her. “One girl who claimed to be one of the remaining survivors of the first captivity.” Sophie placed her hand on mine and tightly squeezed it. Everyone was confused, scared, and frightened with all of these revelations. It scared me more for the things waiting for us in The Yonder. “She said a deal was made.” I felt my heartbeat against my ribcage and my stomach-churning. Lord Victor’s voice echoed inside my head. I felt nauseous.

"Oh okay." The more realization settled within me, the more my tears threatened to spill and I didn't want to cry. I didn't want him to see me cry again, that would show him that his plan is working. I couldn't imagine a life of captivity waiting patiently for when your captor agrees to take your life and end your misery while meeting your family on the other side as the only flicker of happiness existing within you. It wouldn't take long before we reach his kingdom and his plan begins to unfold. I wonder whom he would kill first and how he was going to end their life and how he would choose to end me when he was done with them.

But now when I finally got the opportunity, it doesn't feel the same. Yet again, I'm locked in a room. Well to be exact, I was locked in a penthouse suite on the highest floor of Roseum Hotel. What any girl would dream of huh? Well not me. If it were other circumstances, I'd be beholding the view, relishing in those comfy looking couches and climbing onto anything that is taller than me. But I didn't feel like doing any of that, so I locked myself in the 'bedroom' and I haven't left since. Stubborn. That's what I am. Who would blame me though? It has been six days being Raphael's captive, and I miss my family like crazy.

"Now will you stop mentally killing me and undo these freaking ropes?" He narrowed his eyes in my direction but acted to remove the complicated knots, untying me. I swear he was a pirate in another lifetime the way he tied these knots and those deliciously dark aura vibrating on him. I wonder if I was his captive in those many lifetimes ago or ever part of it. Hmmm.
