I watch with glee as blood the color of tar splatters everywhere. Without a thought, I move close to one of the hives and hover my hand over their bodies. The locusts move with my movements but do not attack. Curious, I try it several times with the same results. I’m so entranced by all of the death that I don’t realize Lucifer is behind me until he talks, “What the bloody hell is happening here?” Turning around, I look at him and sneer. I know that I shouldn’t be acting this way, but something inside me refuses to care. “Well, well, well, if it isn’t the devil.”

Prologue Daniel's POV I went on with my life, not expecting even a tiny bit of happiness to find me, I was just living under the dark side of life. Killing, hunting monsters. No happiness, not even love. Nothing could reach my frozen soul. That is, if I had a soul.

He didn't want to think of the things that happened to her but the fire in him screamed to kill the ones who had hurt her. She was a mystery. He never thought he'd ever get to know anything about her and now she bared her soul in front of him. He felt like shit for playing with her heart like that but maybe he could make everything alright. Hunter couldn't even fathom the thought of her finding out his plan. She would be shattered. The growl became a roar. A steel claw punched through the floor, scattering sparks. Then another. The creature hauled itself up: a massive wolf-shaped frame made of muscle and machine, eyes burning electric blue. Tubes pulsed along its neck where veins should have been. The Cerberus prototype—Julian’s final experiment. Aiden whispered, “He merged a rogue with tech.” Dante didn’t answer; he was already firing. Bullets tore through metal plating, but the beast hardly slowed. It lunged, claws raking concrete where they’d stood a second earlier. The impact shook the whole chamber.

One could definitely tell from afar that whether they accept or not, they look like a couple. “Agree.” The other two frowned as well, sighing, “Seriously, is that on your mind right now?” Tabit frowned but they smirked, thrilled to fight together after years. “Yes.” Nodding they brought their powers. To fight the cerberus, Tristan summoned his cerberus, “Swell my soul with atrocity, burn my desires to embrace darkness as I call upon the animals of the abyss- Come forth, Cerberus.” Going crazy, Tristan let out a loud growl to display his menace and went all out, attacking all the fellow hounds mercilessly, going wild.

The words erupted from my chest in an intense, predatory roar. But her scent had vanished. Rain began to pour, interfering with any chance of tracking her trail. When I caught the smell of danger nearby, my fur bristled. I closed my eyes and heightened my Lupine instincts. There were rogue wolves lurking within the forest. More than that—there was a dangerous creature, one of Nocturnus’s lackeys, his guardian who hunted whenever his master unleashed him: a three-headed Cerberus, better known among humans as a hellhound.

He answered me. "W-why?" I can't help asking because I feel like protesting. "Because they are hell hounds. They don't have thoughts. All the things that will appear in their line of sight, they will kill it immediately." He answered me. I was shaking. Hell hounds? Cerberus? "Cerberus? Is that what you're talking about?" "I am surprised that you know it. It's a three-headed wolf, vicious and vile. Legend says, they are the guards of hell but were exiled and vanished. And now, they are here." This story told me and the horse started running again.

She looks at Samson looking completely lost then looks back to me quickly. “Who is Cerberus? I-I mean as in t-that Cerberus?” She stutters over her words. She seems frightened and I hear her swallow the lump in her throat her heart racing out of control. I had forgotten that Cerberus is fierce and capable of wielding the flame. Only she was forged by it. The flame runs through Cerberus' veins. Cerberus is known for incinerating any witch that comes within firing distance. “Yes, Cerberus guardian of the underworld the four-headed hellhound. Won’t she get in the way?” The white witch looks at me and I nod confirming their words. She paces and then looks at me again and I feel a pain in my ches

The name travelled on the wind, across seas, into the marrow of the world. “Cerebus…” In Olympus, Ellie sat on her bedroom floor, protest signs scattered, printouts crumpled. Her laptop glowed. She typed: Three-headed dog mythology. The first entry slammed into her chest like a blow. Cerberus — Guardian of the Underworld. Watchdog of the Pit. Slayer of Chimera. Ellie’s blood ran cold. “Oh no,” she whispered. Because if Cerebus was real… Then so was the thing he was born to stop.
