Alex POV*not edited* I wake up to the warm rays of the sun and chirping of the birds. Not. I woke up to some dumb bitch banging on my front door and the dumb bitch also keeps ringing the bitch ass doorbell. I'm sorry. I'm just not a morning person. I swing my legs off the bed and rip my bedroom door open. I stomp into the living room with such fury that I almost knocked a vase over. Opening the door with an inhuman strength that would've scared me if I wasn't so livid.

It was now or never. Her heart lashed against her ribcage as she slowly opened the door just enough to peek out. Not stopping at her chest, the damnable thing proceeded to climb up into her head and beat in tom-tom fashion against her eardrums, making it nearly impossible to listen for sounds of any type. She had no choice but to rely on her eyes. After reassuring herself that the dimly lit hall was actually empty of roaming vampires or centuries old humans, she cautiously slipped through the narrow opening that she’d created and gently closed the door.

The novel has 52 chapters including the prologue and epilogue. I closed my laptop before I walk out of my room, I look at Janine and Shia who are eating their chips while they are watching. “Oh, hi!” Janine greeted me when she noticed me. “You didn’t tell me that you’re going here,” I say, I sit beside her. “Is it required?” she asks, I laugh, “I’m watching with my friend, I don’t want to talk to anyone,” she added before she look at the TV again. Shia looked at Janine.

Hand on the knob. The house burned behind her, slowly, elegantly. The kind of fire that didn’t destroy, only reminded you what had already been lost. She didn’t look back. Didn’t breathe. Didn’t cry. She turned the handle. The door creaked open. And behind it, There was no sky. No ground, Just a single chair. Facing away from her. Someone sat in it. Reading, A book made of bone. Their voice hummed. And the page they read out loud was Chapter 101.

Athena sat on a desk by the window, clad in a sheer white dress, seemingly engrossed in one of the ancient books she was reading and couldn’t care less about the Alpha’s presence, but her wolf reacted to his earthy, musky scent. She gently tossed the book on the table, then turned to him, locking eyes with him in a gentle staring contest that seemed to last an eternity. Finally, he broke off first, and she let out a small chuckle. “I didn't expect you to break the rules, let alone be my first visitor.” She said, her expression smug.

But she wasn’t sure if she had just stepped into a trap… Or set one. --- End of Chapter 1

And in front of her, a mirror appeared. Not one that reflected. One that recorded. She stepped toward it. And the chapter began.

She mumbled something but I didn't hear exactly what she said. I ran towards her and embraced her in my arm, afraid of what if she disappears. "Oh, God! Sheila. Where have you been?" I looked at her hazel eyes which were directly looking into mine. Without wasting another second I crashed my lips onto her, enjoying her warm lips against mine which is smoothening my whole throbbing system. Thank God!! She is alive. *
