Hannah, the new girl, added, extending her hand to me. I shook her hand and found myself smiling back. "Hi, Hannah. I'm Delilah." I didn't want to dive into the conversation about my thoughts, but seeing as she was probably going to be the last human I would interact with for a while, I decided to try to be nice. "So, how are you liking the pack so far?" I asked her as the bus started moving. Hannah's older sister was her only family and she had just married into the pack. She had pleadged to the Amethyst pack no longer than a month ago, but that was all I knew about her.

Eliza didn’t need to open her eyes to know where she was. She shivered from the cool pre-dawn dew that settled thick on her bare flesh as she slowly sat up. Although not as horrendous as the month before, sledgehammers steadily banged against the interior of her skull as her surroundings slowly came into focus. The heat was so intense, the shadows began to melt. Slowly. One by one.

I placed the glass of water beside her and said, "Mrs. Montenegro was concerned about you, miss. She wanted me to bring you some water." Riezel nodded, her eyes welling up with tears again. But then, to my surprise, she reached out and grasped my arm. "Can I ask you something? What's your name?" she said, her voice low and urgent. I hesitated, unsure of what to say. But Riezel's eyes were pleading, and I couldn't bring myself to refuse her. "My name is Delilah, miss." I said, trying to sound neutral. Riezel's grip on my arm tightened. "I've noticed the way Raphael looks at you, Delilah. He seems to trust you, to value your opinion. And I was wondering...could you help me get closer to him?"

Edgar and Charles are there too. I closed the mind link and continued driving to the northern gate. Once there, I see Isaiah waiting for me. I walk up with him when Edgar and Charles approach me. “Alpha Aiden, we need to discuss your mate.” “Thalia is in labor, about to give birth to my daughters. She sent me here to release that asshole.” I said pointing at Heath. “Plus, we want to understand about the blast. She saw it from the window of the pack house and thinks it may be important to the war that is coming.” I finished.

Delilah's POV: After getting done with all the classes at 1 pm, I decided to go to the library and spend some time reading the Healing books before going for the training. Dangling my bag over my shoulder, I made my way to the library. I was just about to enter the library when I felt a hand landing on my shoulder. I turned around and frowned when I saw a junior witch, Jannice, from the cottage. Smiling subtly at me, she greeted me, "I am glad to find you here, Delilah."

I interjected, my voice tinged with frustration as I stared at Delilah, hoping she would finally understand. "Please, let her speak," Margaret cautioned, her eyes filled with a mix of anticipation and concern. Undeterred by my interruption, Delilah continued, her voice laced with a touch of awe. "Our friend here is the plainest amongst us all. She was born for great things. It's incredible that she still wears human skin when she's truly a goddess. She had a one-on-one encounter with Derenzantrafiakiloma, the one who reads minds. That entity visited her in human form," Delilah revealed, causing our eyes to widen in astonishment.
