She keeps looking at the clock and counting the hours since she sent her last message to him. “You’re becoming impatient, Cela,” she said to herself. She closed her laptop and took her phone. She looked at Nate’s first and only message. “He really typed this one?” she asked herself.

Delilah got on a motorcycle. “To the headquarters!.” Nick instructed. Delilah (Aviva) nodded and rode along. Delilah (Aviva) stopped her motorcycle when the red light came on. “You finally got the book!.” Delilah turned around to see Lucifer. “Remember the plan ?!.” Lucifer asked.

Devin whispered above her head and she whirled around to face him furiously. " Stop calling me human, okay? Talking like you aren't one, if you think you aren't human because you happened to always read my mind then drop the human features on your body so I'll accept if you call me human." Delilah snapped at him, shocking him. They were just hearing her talk and her tiny voice which she tried to make intimidating. " Human features?"

If she ever escaped this place, Delilah promised herself that she would get an indoor library in her house. If she ever got a house. She already got the extra room in her house filled up with shelves of books too, so that counted as a mini library. Her stomach rumbled and she decided that it was time for her to leave the library. She placed the books she had and decided to pick up a book titled Guide To Demons and another romance novel to read for the night. On her way down, she ran into Eriel. “Guide to demons?” Eriel chuckled. Delilah noticed how tall he was, as usual, and wondered if other supernatural species had that kind of height too. Was it just humans who were ridiculously small?

I reply immediately, thinking of Ivy’s scent. Delilah grabs a booklet featuring different arrangements of lilies. “There. That wasn’t so bad, see?” She says with a smile. “We could do this together!” I shake my head. “Absolutely not. And Ivy didn’t seem to know much about the terms of our arrangement–you were going to talk to her, weren’t you?” “Oh, yeah,” Delilah replies absentminded, picking at white fabric swatches and holding them against her body. “Which one of these suits me the best?”

For the first time that day, she felt a bit of comfort. Delilah smiled warmly, her gaze full of compassion. "When I was in your condition, my mother gave me a book that kept me positive until the very end. I want you to have it," she said gently. "I want you to stay positive and confident in yourself and in God." She paused before asking softly, "Are you a believer, my dear?" Adeline hesitated then shook her head. Delilah’s smile didn’t waver. “Religion doesn’t matter,” she said kindly. “How about this? Put your faith in a grand power, a force beyond our understanding. Trust in that power and He shall protect you and your child.”
