Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

My parents were so disfigured in the attack that the coffin lids remained closed when they were buried. I struck again and again. My breathing got harder and harder. Sweat came on my forehead. My heart beat like a barrage. I pressed the knife in the leg sheath against my thigh with the familiar weight. The gun was in its holster around my shoulders. Everything was as always and yet very different.

he said, his voice filled with haste. "Come with me." I grabbed his hands as I quickly led him to the bedside. I retrieved the book from the bottom of the pillows, handing it over to him. "Cassian hid this book under his pillows. I'm sure you'll find a hint of what's going on now. I did read it, and I found out there were small cuts and cake dust on their corpses. Have an idea now?"

“Until then, really, I do suggest you rest.” “I’ll… consider it…” I relented a little. Dr. Patel sighed and turned for the door. “Save me from stubborn patients and their caregivers,” he muttered under his breath as he left. When he was gone, Rowena turned to me, eyes sharp, not loopy at all. “So?” “So…?” I echoed. “We do have two dead bodies in the bookstore. I don’t know how long that lie’s going to hold. Plus it’s not as though you’re an actual registered human being. Do you even have a birth certificate?” Rowena asked.

The Hawkins Blood

The Hawkins Blood

A human leg blocked the way. I didn’t feel anything. Behind me, I felt Alexandra and William closing in, tense and silent. I stepped over the body without a word. Young man. Black leather jacket. Massive wound in his chest. His blood had turned a sickening black-brown. My brain was quiet. Detached. Like everything around me was moving underwater. I registered Alexandra saying my name—once, maybe twice. But I couldn’t tell if it was a warning or a question. I followed the trail. More bodies. A few on the stairs. One slumped over the dining table. Another half-crumpled in the kitchen. Every one of them in black leather.

WITH ALL MY LIVES

WITH ALL MY LIVES

One of them spoke. Van’s eyes widened. "That’s mine." He quickly claimed. He almost forgot about the books he had to sell. Besides that problem, he doesn’t know how to feel about not seeing the dead body. His mind was left with tons of questions. Did the woman survive like he did? Or did that creature hide the body? Or maybe he ate the whole body?! Van shuddered at the thought. He shook his head and tried not to imagine that image in his head. The problem was, no would believe anything he said unless there was evidence.

The Pack's Emissary

The Pack's Emissary

“Back in the early days after the storm, when the streets were empty. It was creepy then, and it’s creepy now.” “Give me that,” Heath stole the cigarette from Rhett’s fingers and inhaled, blowing it out slowly. “You’re right. I keep expecting a zombie to burst out of the bushes. You remember that woman, in her white dress?” “A white lady,” Talen nodded. “A white lady,” Cameron repeated and shuddered exaggeratedly against Aislen. “I never saw her amongst Leighton’s collection of bodies. Did anyone else?” “No, not that I recall, though, honestly, I tried not to look at them too closely,” Aislen admitted. “It was always just a bit uncomfortable. Like being in a graveyard, but all the bodies wer

I started reading this series when you were about halfway through The Pack’s Triquetra and I’ve been in love with it ever since. It’s amazingly written and as sad as I will be to see it end, I’m very curious to see the ending :) How often do you post updates?

I have read series-more than once while waiting but have to ask--- why change the covers? The others fit although they could have made Aislen a bit prettier since everyone goes on about how beautiful and Sexy she is she didn't quite fit but all of the new covers are AWFUL! please change!!!!!

Accidentally Bound To The Heartless Alpha

Accidentally Bound To The Heartless Alpha

I turned towards the crowd that still concealed the secret. "Move out of the way," I declared, and the warriors all stepped back, unveiling what they had been hiding. Five bodies lay on the ground, covered with white cloths. My legs trembled as I approached the corpses, preparing to see who they were. Taking a deep breath, I grasped the fabric of the first corpse. "You don't have to see them," Hazel said, urging me to lower the cloth. My jaw dropped as I revealed the first corpse to be Mina, her eyes missing from her lifeless body. The sight was repulsive, and I struggled to comprehend what was unfolding.

How To Tame The Savage Alpha

But this time, I did see it. Bodies. Dead bodies, all swarming with flies. On the very top of the stack, was Liam’s corpse, covered in decayed blood. Some of his limbs were missing and a silver dagger had been struck in his chest. “Liam!” I called, racing to him like I could actually save him, but before I could get to him, the bodies… disappeared, his included. I turned to Lilth. “What the hell was that?” I question unable to hide the irritation in my voice.

The Hidden Chip in the Martyr's Bones

The Hidden Chip in the Martyr's Bones

My body had never been cremated. The excavation workers, afraid of taking responsibility, secretly reported it to the police. That unintentional act became my greatest stroke of luck. When the forensic pathologist cut open my body, everyone gasped in shock— Sealed in cement, my corpse had been preserved, delaying decomposition. Though the skin had decayed, the muscles and bones remained intact. But almost all my blood had been drained. My body was so emaciated it was barely human, and even the bone marrow bore repeated puncture marks…

The Hybrid's War: Book 2

You focus on yourself and you do what you must do to keep our asses on top of the game. I nodded. He was right. I need to stop worrying about Anubis and focus on me and my wolf. I made it to the front entrance and seen a black SUV pull away from the area. That must’ve been Dominic and his father, I thought to myself. I looked to the left and seen my car sitting there. As I got closer to it, I stopped when I noticed the bodies weren’t there anymore. I turned around, using my ears to listen for sounds of movement. There was nothing, but the cool breeze that ruffled the leaves on the trees. “They’re gone,” I said to my wolf. “I thought we injured them to the point they couldn’t move.
