Bernice glanced at me. The maid put on white gloves and carefully opened the box to reveal a crown. I blinked. It was the Crown I had never seen before. It has twelve water-drop-shaped pearls arranged neatly on the crown. On the top of each pearl is a perfectly cut heart-shaped diamond. The base of the crown is silver with rings of olive-leaf-shaped crystals. In the light of the Sun, it is holy and elegant like the Crown of our moon goddess. Bernice was so pleased with the crown that the satisfaction in her eyes almost overflowed.

Everyone elegantly adjusted their luxurious attire, eagerly watching the doors of the hall. Standing at the back of the crowd, the first thing I saw was the incredibly shiny crown. It was a crown made of nothing but rubies and gold. Under the illumination of the crystal chandeliers, it was so magnificent that it was unbelievable. The central ruby on the crown was as large as a stone. The light it reflected exuded a fiery hue.

And yet not. She looked like a queen. I felt insane pride, my lips twitching at intervals. The new crown waited upon a velvet cushion before the coronation chair. No one had dared reuse the former queen’s. No one trusted what darkness might have been woven into it. This one was entirely new—crafted of white gold, rising in sharp, elegant peaks like frozen flames. At its center sat a large oval moonstone, glowing faintly from within. Smaller sapphires ringed its base, and etched along the inner rim were protective runes, visible only when the light struck at certain angles.

There were at least 10 jewels attached to the crown's base, making it one of the most grandiloquent objects in the entire vicinity of this lifeless wasteland. All seven of them hid behind a boulder large enough to conceal them. Their iris stretched as the luminosity of the crown poured their eyes. Their hearts are pumping faster than a flywheel. I, on the other hand, was thriving. “This one,” I said for the tenth time, pointing to a stunning halo-cut diamond. “She deserves better,” he muttered. “Then this one,” I said, pointing to another. “Too simple.” “Okay, that one.” “Too flashy.” After twenty more minutes of that, I sighed dramatically. “You’re impossible.”

Twisted silver and bronze metals looking like a tree being held by silver roots. Around the crown, small diamonds rose, looking almost like trees. When she turned to look at Teleraamon, he had a circlet of the same silver and bronze on his head.
