High Lords Meeting #acotar Novels & Stories

They guarded her to the front, and instead of Taron Caswell, they met an entire congregation of elders dressed in mourning white clothes. "The Alpha killed my wife," Taron Caswell lamented like the perfect grieving husband. And with him, his cohorts all chanted the words like mindless sheep. Liora didn't argue or counter their words. She waited patiently, and once they were done, she turned to Frank. "Arrange the council meeting to be held tonight in the arena... everyone is summoned." Taron Caswell expected an outburst, something to fuel the rage, but Liora just turned and walked back inside.

"Are you the delegation from Haven Keep?" "We are," I answered, dismounting my gray horse with ease. Korr, Rylan, Tarek, and Nikolai dismounted right behind me, their heavy boots hitting the stone pavement with a solid thud. "Grand Alliance Leader Lord Brandon is expecting you in the High Hall," the captain said, gesturing toward the giant carved oak doors at the top of the central stone steps. "The pre-council meeting is about to begin." "Lead the way," Korr growled softly.

I called out and a white haired man stood up instantly. "At your service my lord." "Elder Maverick, announce this new rule to the pack the day after tomorrow, I want everybody to be aware of this new rule, is that clear?" "Yes, my Lord." Elder Maverick reaponded and he went back to his seat. "For the tournament, I would be sending an Elder to supervise it but I have not decided on the one to send, so after I have decided, I would let you people know. Now, meeting dismissed." "Yes Lord." "Yes Lord." They bowed one after each other the last time and left the meeting hall together.

“We need to discuss what happens next.” “What do you mean? You already know what happens next. We get every Alpha or Beta representative in that room to join our cause and sign the treaty. Then we go to Amethyst Mist, I meet the warriors and we prepare our attack.” Curling up on the overstuffed chair in corner of the room, I watched Alaric as he digested everything I had said, the expression flying across his face told me that he did not fully agree with the plan.

she asked and I nodded, “okay let’s get this over with.” I led Rylee downstairs to the meeting room where Martha had put fresh coffee down and the Elders were busy helping themselves. Rylee shook her head when I motioned to the coffee and I pulled a chair out for her next to mine. “Good afternoon Miss Christianson,” Elder Gareth said. “Good afternoon Elders,” she said and sat down. “I’m sure Sire Lucas has filled you in on the key points of the events that has transpired,” Elder James stated.

Lucian exhaled slowly, relieved. Damian stepped back, clapping him on the shoulder. “Then it will be Theo. He will take the mantle. And you, my friend, will help guide him when needed.” Lucian smiled at last. “That, I can do.” Damian nodded. “Good. Now go—gather the elders and high officials. We meet in one hour.” --- An hour later, in the grand meeting hall, the room was filled once more with key decision-makers. The air buzzed with tension and curiosity.

With appreciation visible in her eyes, Lena nodded, and the scouts withdrew to rest. Kyra's determination hardened as she turned to face Damon. "We must call a council meeting right away. There is no time we can afford to waste. The leaders of the allied packs crowded into the main hall within an hour. Sitting beside Kyra and her trusted counselors were Alpha Gretchen of Ironclaw and Alpha Marcus of Silvermoon.

I grunted. "Alpha, I think we need to hear what they're planning, and I think Gerry is the best thing we got," Topher said with his head lowered to the ground. "My brother is right Alpha, especially since the High Lord will be there," Talon bent his head in submission. "The High Lord will be there?" I steered my question towards Chastity.

**STORM PACK'S STATEGY ROOM** A MEETING Alpha Akin had called a meeting of his elders to discuss the trembling that had woken him up from his precious nap, and Luke and Annabel happened to be invited to the meeting as well. And they deliberate on what it could mean for them and how it changes their plans to attack Scarlett's pack.

I wasn’t ready to inform them yet because I know how this usually goes. The elders push and try to get the upper hand. It is the same cycle over and over. It has been this way since the first Lycan king was crowned. What a bunch of tyrannical, shriveled old cocks who think they still hold real power. “You were attacked with Rotbane a month and a half ago, yes?” The elders stop their bickering when the obvious instigator of this meeting speaks. Elder Orin’s suit coat brushes the floor as he walks toward the table, adjusting his glasses.
