High Lords Meeting #acotar Novels & Stories

A jolt of vigor rolled down Dook's back, and with a slight grin, he unloaded the clip into the attackers, threw the shotgun aside and threw off his rolled-up jacket, and began reincarnation into the beast. Lord Ascadal silently proceeded to the elevator. He did not pay attention to the traces of the attack, his thoughts were somewhere far away. Approaching the elevator, the lord called Lusters to him, he instantly found himself nearby. - Lasters, organize a meeting of the clans of the night, all clans. You and Brook-ta-man will represent the vampire clan. Make an appointment at the temple of obedience. - Yes, my lord, I will immediately begin preparations for the meeting. Lusters says humbly

And he already had this tiny hint of what they could possibly want – even though Arlan had oriented him about it, he just knew them well. But of course, not every one of them was as vicious and cunning as the others. He took his golden throne in the middle of the long table and boredly stared at them. Arlan cleared his throat and started the meeting. “Your Majesty, we wanted to suggest that we already need to fill another elder from the North since Elder Urticius is already casted out from his title.” Elder Mondar said as he acted so innocently while stating those words. Arlan stared at him with his wide eyes as he intertwined his fingers together and placed his elbow into the wooden table w

VERUCA’S POV ‘Any word from him yet?’ The guard shook his head. I have tried to reach Athan since yesterday, to no avail. He was supposed to be back from Golden Leaves yesterday for the meeting. It was supposed to discuss the hunting rights decree by the new mayor who is human and does not know our ways and customs (given my way I would have eaten him up a long time ago), the vampire-werewolf uprising in the north, and Athan’s marriage to Mitchell. The whole tribe depended on the answer.

I continued walking until I took my place at the head of the long table. Settling into my chair, I let my gaze sweep over the gathered men before speaking. "Thank you, everyone, for finally honouring my invitation and coming down to Ashbourne. Today, I have something important to share with you all, so important that by the end of this meeting, each of you will need to make a decision." I nodded to the guards, and they turned on the white screen at the podium. "But first, I need to show you why we must break away from the strongholds of the Lycans."

“What is the time?” “Four-oh-three,” Marcus says, his deep voice rumbling in his chest. “The Spirit Keeper has already begun.” Inside the grand stone temple, a massive wave of shouting, growling, and slamming fists echoes through the heavy wooden doors. The news has just landed. The High Alpha Lords are furious. The pack matrons are gasping. The entire Grand Wolf Assembly is descending into violent chaos. Elder Lamont Darkhowl has dropped the bomb. My father’s jaw tightens as he listens to the outrage spilling out from the sacred hall. “They sound like a pack of rogue strays in heat.”

"It is 10:30 AM, Master Ashworth," Jabari corrected him. "Have you forgotten the meeting? The Clan coordinators have been waiting at the Gathering Grounds for more than an hour. Zoey is definitely having a panic attack right now. Please, get here now before Chief Adolphus loses his mind. The Crescent elders are there too, and they hate waiting." Deimon sighed, rubbing his face. He had completely forgotten. The elders were old, mean, and powerful, he couldn't ignore them. "The Chief’s face is the last thing I want see this morning. And those old geezers?" Deimon muttered, "but I have no choice. Fine, on my way. Prepare my ride, meet you in ten."

A statement without words. The smallest council member, Councilman Darrin, thin-faced and sharp-eyed tilted his head. “I wasn’t aware Dr. Alotta would be present for this meeting.” Lotty’s jaw tightened at hearing her full name. Adam’s voice stayed calm. “You are now.” Darrin’s gaze flicked to Lotty, then back to Adam. “This council meeting concerns pack security and diplomacy.” Lotty’s voice was cool. “And I’m pack.” A murmur rippled around the table.

At the mention of human blood, his face brightened up, he thought of the sweet scent and gulped excitedly. Priestess catori walked into the hall at the watchful eyes of the elders, she is glowing, she know that, she is expecting a baby but she didn't want to tell Alex now; its been two weeks since their last meeting with other creatures and now, it is time to fight the final battle, she got to the throne and bowed slightly to the Alpha and sat on her stool beside the throne, under Alex lustful and adoring gaze, he seems so mesmerized that he forgot he has business to do, catori cleared her throat, signalling him to continue the meeting and stop staring at her. He nodded at her with a smile,

"I guess it's time for the meeting. Why are you in a haste?" "There is fire on my roof." Lord Ashton took the seat beside her. "This morning, I woke up to several letters requesting help from all over the world. Do you know the common thing amongst them all?" "Vampires?" Julia tried. "No, the hunters." Julia nearly fell from her seat. "You know that's the reason we hold the meeting here right? It's like hiding right under their nose." Lord Ashton stamped his rod to the floor. "They are massive."

The Celestial Citadel stands as both a sanctuary and a powerful symbol of cooperation among the supernatural realms, where we come together to discuss, deliberate, and uphold the balance between our worlds. Emergency meetings were rare for us, and when they did happen, it was never for good news. My gut clenched as I scanned the room, knowing that whatever was about to be discussed wouldn’t bode well. Across the room, I spotted Landon from the neighbouring pack, Nightfall Clan. He is a reliable second representative, calm and steady as always. I nodded in greeting, and he responded with a slight tilt of his head. We both knew the gravity of this moment, and there was no need for words.
