TETHERED

TETHERED

I groaned in frustration, grappling with the pain and confusion. The pain reached a crescendo, and in a desperate bid for relief, I released it. The pent-up power surged outward, the sheer force toppling trees in its wake before enveloping me in a shimmering fog. I shut my eyes against the flood of memories carried by the fog, but resistance was futile. I was transported once more, this time into the Alpha's mate.

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Beast

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Beast

Something that didn't belong in a "Real World." A **Titan** stepped out of the shadows. It was thirty feet tall, its body made of rusted iron and pulsing violet tubes. It had the face of a man, but the eyes were giant searchlights. On its chest, a large silver logo was etched into the metal: **AETHEL-GROUP: ASSET RECOVERY**. "Subject 01 and Donor 04," the Titan’s voice boomed, sounding like a thousand speakers blowing out at once. "You have exceeded your 'Independence' quota. Please remain still while your 'Conflict Data' is harvested."

COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS

COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS

"There must be another way! We can fight the ship! We can find another battery!" "There is no time!" Maya pointed at the ceiling. The sound of drilling echoed through the building. The moon ship was sending down "Cleaners”. Spider robots made to kill all living things. One of the spiders dropped from a vent. Its eyes were glowing. Benson swung his pipe. He crushed the spider robot against the floor.. Three more appeared in the shadows. "Do it Benson!" Maya screamed. She ran to the chair, in the center of the room. It was a throne made of wires and needles. She sat down.

The Moon's Mercy: Throne of Ashes

The Moon's Mercy: Throne of Ashes

The floor was a network of iron grates with thousands of gallons of water rushing through turbines keeping the towns from being flooded. "The grid" Jasmine whispered, her voice hollow as she leaned against a row of electrical transformers. Her eyes were fixed on the walls, where thick copper pipes ran toward the ceiling carrying power to the watchtowers. "We are beneath the central garrison, Elara, if you release the boy's energy here it will not just hit the fence, it will hit the main power hub."

ESSENCE: Desire Without Permission — My Rivals, My Red Flags

ESSENCE: Desire Without Permission — My Rivals, My Red Flags

"The system is rerouting auxiliary power to defend the core." "Then we don't hit the breaker," Anji decided. He hauled his crowbar from his belt, his eyes fixed on the massive overhead transformer array. "We force an over-saturation." "Are you serious? You'll bring the whole roof down!" "The roof is already compromised!" Anji roared, lunging toward the scaffolding that rose like a spine toward the transformer hub. "If we bridge the current from the tower’s remaining feed—if we shove the rest of that power back down the throat of the grid instead of out the antenna—it’ll short the relay! The singularity will implode!"

The Ominous: Some play it safe, heroes don't

The Ominous: Some play it safe, heroes don't

"Maddie, did you get another new power?" • • • "No this time," I said." Although its getting hand to keep ... track," The shop flew toward the falling centipede to stop it from harming civilians when a strange twister came out of nowhere and stopped it crashing into the ground. "Are you sure you didn't take another hybrid's powers?," Daryl asked over the Comm link. "knock it off, Wailer," Just as the robot landed safety on the ground, several energy spheres were formed around semoltple pants of it ripping it apart.

His red eyes on his dark face looked truly intimidating. The most eye-catching aspect of his appearance was his horns that extended out from the back of his neck. Not just one, but 3 curvy horns extending out in a sequential height ranging from 1 cm to 5 cm. His lip was much thinner. He stood straight on two legs as he looked quite similar to a human being, except for some aspects. The moment Creed spotted those horns, he gulped a mouthful of saliva. He now understood why these rescue bots hesitating to come closer to the building. The bots were built to recognize ill-intent and hostility. There was a lot of hostility emanating out of him.

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.

I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.

Who's The Loser Now?

Who's The Loser Now?

She too, dropped to the floor. "Everyone! Activate your suits again!!" ordered Peter from the bunker. However, before the rest of the rescue team could do so, they felt a wave surge past them. In the next instant, all equipment in the safehouse were short-circuited. The unmanned legion, which was still in the safehouse, stopped functioning and all five robots dropped to the floor. Peter, Lea, Amanda, Jocelyn and Kimberly could not operate the robots. "S**t!! Our systems are down. Now we do not know what is going on over there!" exclaimed Peter.

Fictitious Reality

Fictitious Reality

It slid back to its place as soon as the vehicle had passed through. He jogged to the corner where an elevator was located. A device at the top scanned him before the elevator opened. He got in and the door shut behind him with a ding. He pressed the button labeled ‘Front Yard’ and within moments it opened in front of the yard. The robots he had deployed were busy loading the boats with boxes. “Roasty, how long would this take?” “Twenty seconds, five boxes left.” It replied and continued with its work. Arnold watched as the bots loaded the rest of the boxes.

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

It was a frame—twisted tech, gold-veined—with eyes that glowed exactly like mine. "Backup code detected. Override in progress," it rasped. "What is that?" Kieran shouted. "Last failsafe," Subject 13 coughed. "A carrier bot for the Directive. It's trying to preserve the code by putting it in something else." "And it picked me," I muttered. It raised a hand. Light shot toward me. Null screamed. Kieran tackled me to the side. The blast missed, but the wall exploded. Rubble fell. I shoved Kieran back, then turned and faced the bot.
