When we take our seats, Jonathon begins to ask questions which I am not ready for because it isn’t like Asher and I went over what we planned to tell people. ‘’So, how did you two meet?’’ Jonathon asks. I wait for the waiter to fill our glasses with water before answering. ‘’It was a mere accident. We literally ran into each other,’’ I lie. ‘’Come on, tell us more. I love a good, ah… love story.’’ Sarah says. I take a breath and can see Asher looking at me. ‘’Ok, see, I was out jogging one morning and I was paying more attention to the music blasting in my ear. We collided with each other, and I fell in love then and there.’’

’ She insisted. “Um…so I’m sorry about the coffee.” I apologized. What a start to our relationship. Some day if we have kids and they ask how we met, I’m going to have to tell them I threw coffee on him. Even if we don’t have kids, my sisters and other people will want to hear how we met. Crista can say she met Alec in her darkest days. Katrina says she met Tie in her dreams. André says he met Darren in the heat of battle. And I’m going to say I threw coffee on him. Ugh.

Alex chuckled "I can't wait for today." I said, grinning "I can feel your excitement all the way from the front door." Alex said "Well, it is finally happening. This day was nothing short of a dream come true. You all used to laugh at me, saying that we can never get the werewolves to be friendly like I did with lycans, witches and vampires. he sighed heavily, the weight of his words evident in his voice. "I met her during a business meeting outside of New York. It was an unconventional introduction, as she accidentally spilled food on my shirt." Alex chuckled, but the laughter held a hint of anguish and sorrow. "And then, fate brought us together again in New York. Her name was Sarah Micheline, and we kept crossing paths unexpectedly."

The person who gave me the cup of coffee said before she went back to her seat. “Same here, Rissa! I had an insane night yesterday to max out my card and now I need to pay for my rent too.” I shouted laughing, everyone in the room laughed. “Oh. So you met with your misfortunes yesterday? How unfortunate of me, I did not witness it.” Rissa sighed after she looked at me with a teasing smile. “Don’t even think of it. You know how stubborn Mari is. You will just have a headache if you insist.” One of my officemates sneered.

What is a situation where I am likely to meet Killian without looking like a harlot? Everyone thinks he is above me— which he is, no doubt about that. “We met at a bar. We got talking and here we are.” I said, tucking some strands of my hair into the end of my ear. I felt so embarrassed and shy. I feel my cheek heat up.

I felt embarrassed to tell her the whole story about how we’d met off the pack borders in the middle of the might. “Well start at the beginning, this is juicy!” she grinned. I told her everything. From the first encounter at the waterfall pool, the way he’d nearly beheaded me for snapping at him in the garden…twice. The moment in the hallway, and finally last night when we’d finally given into the attraction. I left out the part about the fact that I thought he might be my mate… “Woah.” She shook her head when I finished. “It feels really good to tell someone that.” I sighed.
