Historical Mystery Books Novels & Stories

People just exaggerate about the existence of these creatures until now, which would be just ridiculous if I were to be asked. I scanned through more books. Though I'm not an avid reader, seeing all these books in front of me, I couldn't help but want to read them all. They all seemed to hold some kind of history that I just feel interested in. This is a first for me, though because I prefer reading about celebrities rather than reading about some fairy tales and history which are not proven to be true. I was so immersed, going through the books, that I did not notice when someone stood behind me.

It all started in the summer of 2018, with the mysterious disappearance of the two wealthiest men in Seattle. As written by Seattle Daily, “An unidentified body was found in the apartment of the richest most eligible bachelors in Seattle, The Hudson brothers who at this point are presumed the main suspects in this investigation whose whereabouts are currently unknown..”

He took the tome in his hand and looked at the title carefully: The Petit Albert. The name prompted the mind of the paranormal detective, he had read about that before or at least heard it, he knew that it was a popular book of the past century thanks to the french trying to sell books when the printed press swept Europe. Thomas decided to take it with him and show it to Elizabeth, she would know what to do with it and probably have more information about it…the clue that he might ignore she could solve. As he moved to place it in his bag something dropped from the middle of the book: a picture of two women, the picture must have had more than 10 years.

With the guidance of a knowledgeable librarian, they delved into the archives, unearthing long-forgotten accounts and legends that shed light on their origins. Amidst the rows of aged tomes, Amelia stumbled upon a worn leather-bound journal. Its pages, yellowed with time, revealed the handwriting of a distant ancestor. As she delicately turned the pages, a story unfolded—one of forbidden love, sacrifice, and a prophecy that intertwined their bloodlines.

I must do my objective here first. at last, now here in the History section. unlike the books from other shelves who has the same way of oldness in them, the books in the History section has different stages of being old. some are really worn out and some where just fairly new. grabbing a random book, I skimmed through the pages, wanting to know what era or year this was written, or what year did the content of the book happened. but the book only talked about the happenings of the coronation of the King Youseff Troy Von Travensky and Queen Violetta Suzette Perues. grabbing another book, i skimmed again but it was not the one i was looking for, ‘Maybe i should go for the newer ones.’

Sleep refused to come. My mind felt restless. Maybe there was something in this room that could help me remember. Slowly, I stood up. I began looking around. The bookshelf immediately caught my attention. Dozens of books filled the shelves. I pulled several out. There were history books, pack law books and training manuals. Then I noticed something else. There were fiction novels; thrillers, mysteries and crime novels. I blinked. Apparently, I enjoyed those. "I don't remember reading any of these."

And why had my mother hidden this book in her secret library? I moved to the shelf where I had found it, running my fingers along the spines of the other books, hoping to find something else, anything else that might give me a clue. But these shelves only held books about pack politics, territorial disputes, and leadership strategies. Nothing personal. Nothing that would help me understand this mystery. I pulled out another book, then another, scanning their contents frantically. Trade agreements. Historical pack alliances. Economic theories. A thick volume on the history of the Council of Alphas.

I sat beside her, and she immediately stretched her legs back out, her feet landing in my lap. "What are you reading?" She held up the book without looking away from the page. "A mystery novel. A detective in Victorian London." I caught sight of the cover. A woman in a low-cut dress leaned against a man in a top hat, their faces inches apart in the fog. The Scarlet Letter Murders. I grabbed the book from her hands. "Hey!" She sat up, reaching for it. I flipped through a few pages. My eyes landed on a passage. His mouth found the hollow of her throat as his fingers worked the laces of her corset…

I say it appreciatively, and he only grunts in response before walking away. I go into the mystical creatures island, and I stare at the amount of books on the shelves. How the hell am I supposed to pick just one out of all of this? A particular hardcover catches my attention. It appears ancient, yet it’s lilac, exactly the same color as my eyes. I take it off the shelf and grin when I see its title. THE HISTORY OF OMEGAS: HOW THE DIVINE BEINGS CAME TO BE. Yes! This is it! This is the book!

But nothing seemed to match the symbol on my door. Frustrated, I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my temples. There had to be something here, some clue that I was missing. I glanced at the stack of books beside me, my eyes landing on one that looked older and more worn than the others. Its leather cover was cracked and faded, the title barely legible: *The Mysteries of Silverwood.* I pulled the book closer and opened it carefully. The pages were brittle, the text handwritten in an elegant script. As I flipped through the pages, a passage caught my eye:
