History Is Not Boring Novels & Stories

I said. "Why?" He asked. "Because he was too boring for my liking..." I said while he raised his brows. "I mean he always used to discuss his favourite subject with me... And can you imagine which subject was it?" I asked him. "Economics?" He guessed. "No....it was history...i mean i hate that subject and i had to bear his talk for whole week...it was a pure torture..." I said while he laughed. "And second?" He asked. "Well it was in college 1st yr and it didn't last for even 2 days" i said laughing loud thinking about it.

He kept talking and each word placed me on thin ice. I chuckled but the sound was expertly weaved with nerves. It was funny how the roles had been reversed. While Hafiz looked calm now, I was sitting on dynamites. "I'm happy you got to relate with our history. I personally thought it would be a bit boring to the ears." His smile reached his eyes this time but it was heavy with meaning. "No, no...it wasn't boring in anyway. I'm only just curious though, was it for a full undergrad program or a masters degree length?"

“That’s what you want to ask me?” “You don’t have to answer.” “Botany.” He blinked. “Really?” I finally glanced his way. “Surprised?” “No,” he said. “Just expected something more... venomous. Like battle strategy or hand-to-hand.” “I’ll leave that to the nobles.” That actually earned a laugh, dry and surprised, like it snuck up on him. “And yours?” I asked, keeping my voice neutral. “History,” he said. “The gritty kind. Wars, treaties, betrayals.”

School became a sanctuary where he could escape his troubles and focus on building a future that would honor his parents’ memory. Alex’s grades soared as he immersed himself in his studies. Math and science fascinated him, but it was history that truly captivated his imagination. The stories of great leaders who had risen from adversity resonated deeply within him. He devoured books about figures like Nelson Mandela and Abraham Lincoln, drawing inspiration from their resilience and commitment to justice.

I giggle. “What?” She raises an eyebrow. “Nothing, Sam. Come on, let’s go to lunch.” After lunch, we have art and history. Art is my all-time favorite—I get to unwind. History’s a close second. I sit by the window overlooking the student parking lot. We’re learning about WWII—one of my favorite time periods. The 1940s. “Miss GreenLee? Hello? Earth to GreenLee?” my teacher calls from across the room. “Huh? Sorry, what was the question?”

Bliss! The history teacher himself was one of my favorites because of how well and expertly he delivered his course. He made you feel everything he said and got you so sucked at the moment whenever he recited all the events of the past. The tales, the fantasies, and more; he just made everything so awesome, so real. It was funny how he always managed to have all of us on the edge of our seats, just ready to jump out of our skins.

DANIEL'S POV Back in high school, I had a deep love for history. It was my favorite subject, and I enjoyed learning about past events, famous figures, and how the world had changed over time. But out of all the historical topics we covered, there was one that fascinated me more than any other— the story of Hell’s Kitchen in New York City.

“No. She loves the story as much as I do.” “Yeah, right,” Will mumbled as he looked back down at the papers in his hand. He had a smirk on his face. “I am serious,” I said, making him look back up at me. “She has a history book about it. She knows a lot about the Great War.” “Then she really is your mate,” Will chuckled. “I’ve never met a person as fascinated by that story as you.” He was right. I was a bit of a nerd when it came to history and the story of Three Kingdoms was one of my favorites.

She nods and I suddenly notice the bag slung over her shoulder. “What class do we have first?” “History, great start to the day huh?” I mutter sarcastically. She chuckles, following me into the hall. “I actually love history—don’t really like having it in the morning but oh well.” “What’s so great about history?” I murmur. “The stories are fascinating. I love learning about other species and the past is just so much more interesting,” she says, her eyes lighting up as she talks.

For me at least. The last bell had finally rung and I was more than happy to leave AP Government. I always dreaded my history classes. It wasn't like I didn't like history or anything, the teachers that always taught them were just plain BORING! And the professor I had for this class had to be the top most boring history teacher I have ever encountered in my school years. I prefer reading out of the books rather than listen to that monotone voice of his.
