History Is Not Boring Novels & Stories

Ugh. Camille was right, Pack Politics and Pack History were incredibly boring, far too many names and high-ranking families from other packs to remember it was insane. Luckily, I did not, and had no intention to, have to try too hard at those classes because I wasn’t ever going to need to know these things.

I really don’t get this part about our history as humans – why are we forced to memorize all the wars and the names of emperors who killed, enslaved, and abused others just to satisfy their own narcissistic, psychopathic desires, who bathed in blood and tears for power and money?

Someone in the back said "He retired." "I know he retired. I am still allowed to be sad about it." She smiled and the room relaxed. "Here is what you need to know about me. I love history. I think history is the most important subject you will ever study. Not because of dates and names but because history is just a bunch of people making terrible decisions and then other people having to clean up the mess. Sound familiar?" A few people laughed. I did not laugh but I smiled. "Today we are not doing a lesson," she continued. "Today we are doing an announcement. An announcement that I am very excited about."
