Historian[edit] See also: List of historians A historian is a person who studies and writes about the past and is regarded as an authority on it.[19] The purpose of a historian is to employ historical analysis to create coherent narratives that explain "what happened" and "why or how it happened". Professional historians typically work in colleges and universities, archival centers, government agencies, museums, and as freelance writers and consultants.[20] Edward Gibbon's six-volume History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire influenced the development of historiography. Three-Years Contract Marriage with the Billionaire

Three-Years Contract Marriage with the Billionaire

The kind of noting that did not feel like noting at the time and revealed itself later as a catalogue when you went looking, which I had not gone looking but was apparently looking now, standing on the pavement outside Fielding's on a Tuesday in March. History. She read history. Not the popular kind, not the narrative history of television documentaries and airport bookshops, though I did not think she was opposed to those on principle. The specific kind. Social history. The history of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. A book about the women who ran businesses in medieval England whose husbands were at war. A book about the domestic interior life of sixteenth century Antwerp. T

What made her look extra cute were those ridiculously over-sized glasses on her face. It looked like the class was being conducted inside a library. The shelves were lined with thick volumes of books that were mostly about the history of Britain; Religion and the Decline of magic: Studies in Popular Beliefs in Sixteenth and Seventeenth Century England, A People's History of England, The Fall of the British Monarchies, and so on.

This book is my kind of escape. The sequence of events and lifestyle are surprisingly accurate, the story is interesting at the same time with something new coming up every chapter. I definitely encourage well thought out books like this. Keep up the good work!

Alpha's Blind Luna

Alpha's Blind Luna

My eyes fell over the genealogy of the kings and I grabbed it as well. There was a bench in the far corner that I had claimed and now was left for me at all times. I placed the books down on the table and started to flip through them. Once I found any mention of it, I left it open and went to the next book, making sure all were open to the correct time. I always found it better to have all information to be able to follow along at the same time. History was written by the victors. Biased to the people writing it. Details omitted that might say someone against a decision. So getting multiple views was important to get the whole picture.

Tenderness is a Dangerous Thing

Tenderness is a Dangerous Thing

Mr. Fren leans forward with both hands pressed firmly on his desk in front of him, shoulders squared as he waits for students to take their seat. His desk is neatly arranged, with a small nameplate reading “Mr. Fren– History” on it and a stack of books besides the nameplate, including titles such as The Roman Empire: A Very Short Introduction, The Silk Roads, Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond, and The Peloponnesian War by Donald Kagan. A black mug with the phrase “History is written by those who survive” sits nearby, alongside a pen holder filled with pens and pencils.

While I was cleaning around and observing the place, I noticed that it was the literature section and history section were the ones most untouched, just signifying that only a few to none goes in those sections and be curious of the world and times they hold inside their pages. Honestly, for me, history and literature books are the most interesting books one could ever read. History holds the ancients and times of the past, the events and happenings that were not seen by the generations of the present and of the future. It contains the kind of life people had before the current era came, the information it holds would be astounding and eye opening. History books take you to the past, it is l

The storyline is good, but the grammar is problematic. I hope the author can double check and edit each chapter before publishing it. It's a paid per read book, so it should worth the coins. Readers paid for every chapter and it's not cheap every chapter, so I guess it right to demand better quality

Nice story so far. But the part of fl being royal princess is not yet incorporated in it, yet the story is labelled as complete. Yet u can read as a whole till marked part as u can consider it as completion of a phase of their story.

Flames Of Hate and Retribution

Flames Of Hate and Retribution

" Christopher's Eye's turned sharp as he glared at Sarah for the briefest of moments. He closed his eyes taking in a deep breath before slowly exhaling. 'She doesn't known calm down, hell I wouldn't know if it wasn't for the library here.' There were so many moments he would completely forget that Sarah, or for that matter most of the world were completely oblivious to events of the past. 'Well he handled that much better then he would have in the past.' Elise lightly smiled. It truly did warm her heart to see Christopher slowly inching out of the thick shell he had hid inside for so many years. "If there's two things you must always remember no matter what little princess it's this. First,

said the Librarian as he approached Rubia “Good morning… I want to have a look at the Empire’s History books.” “Very well… Please follow me.” The librarian takes Rubia to one of the last rows of the library. * “These are the books… May I suggest a book that may amuse you, your highness…?” “Go ahead.” “This book covers the Empire’s past as a whole except for the Current Emperors past.” “I’ll go with this then.” Said Rubia as she took the book from the Librarian

he said kindly. She immediately said in nervousness, “Thank you, but you don't have to do that for me. I took this book because I had never seen a book like this before. May I ask you what book is this?” “This is a medieval history book about the first crusades. I have seen with my own eyes humans kill and slaughter their own kind for something they believe in. That’s very interesting, and that’s why I wrote this book,” he said and smiled. She furrowed her brows in thought. “Seen?” she asked in her mind curiously.

The Alpha Prince's Purchased Maid

The Alpha Prince's Purchased Maid

“What do you mean?” I asked curiously. How can the textbook be wrong? “Well, how do I put this? Even if history did already take place, books and lessons about history are still open to many interpretations and representation…” the prince explained. I cocked my head to the side in slight confusion because I didn’t quite get what he was talking about. What does he mean by history being interpreted and represented differently? “Let me try that again. There’s a staying that history is written by the winners, right? Have you heard that before?” he asked.
