History Through Fiction Novels & Stories

My eyes fell over the genealogy of the kings and I grabbed it as well. There was a bench in the far corner that I had claimed and now was left for me at all times. I placed the books down on the table and started to flip through them. Once I found any mention of it, I left it open and went to the next book, making sure all were open to the correct time. I always found it better to have all information to be able to follow along at the same time. History was written by the victors. Biased to the people writing it. Details omitted that might say someone against a decision. So getting multiple views was important to get the whole picture.

This book does try to stay as truthful to the time period as possible and the legends and folk tales of the places it tackles, however, some historical anachronisms may happen, and sometimes I will favour fiction over historical accuracy. The first story is complete and ready for you to enjoy.

Here goes nothing. "Remember my story? the one I'm currently writing?" I began, he nodded but kept silent, urging me to go on. "Well last night I dreamed about... me being inside my story." I paused for a moment as our pancakes were served. "It felt surreal Xander, I mean meeting my own characters… how cool is that?" We went through a period when we had no monarch," the Royal Historian said, picking up a book. "This book covers the history of wolves in the days when we didn't have a stable rulership." The book she produced next was the biggest I ever saw in my life. "Am I really to read all these?" I asked, rubbing my neck. I knew there would be work to be done but these books would take months to read.

"I've always loved libraries. I just didn't have time to enjoy them." Mira laughed softly. "You have time now." "I do." He sat across from her, studying the books spread across the table. "What are you reading?" "History. The true history. Not the versions that were taught before the war." Kael nodded slowly. "How does it compare?" "It's different. More complicated. The old stories made everything sound simple. Good versus evil. Heroes versus villains." She paused. "But the truth is messier. People made choices. Good people made terrible mistakes. Bad people sometimes tried to change."

The Alpha has it. The first book had left its readers including me in a cliffhanger. I had always wanted to know what happened next on the journey of the main character. Actually it was not really about the world’s history, but it is just about the character travelling to different places in different times, discovering treasures, witnessing wars, anything that happened significantly on the year he had travelled on. And though it is a fictional story, it still has a touch of true world history in it, depending on where the character went and what time.

After all, it wouldn’t be used when they’re already in battle. Their next subject was History, and he’d been given a total reason to sleep his ass out, as Mr. Frae was kind enough to talk about the bloody war. Perhaps, it was his fine skills that made even the bloodiest of fights sound like a tea party. So far, not that he knew of, their lessons have been ranging from the narrative in the past to the things that were unraveled by this narrative. Mr. Frae kindly explained it to them by having some comparison to the legends that have breakout over the century and used it to come up with a pattern, the kind of which that’d enable them to understand how the future might end up.
