They either hadn't figured out that looking into our heads for secrets would destroy them or they were seeking the fastest way to die. "I think there is a leprechaun over there," Alexis said in surprise. I didn't see the leprechaun, but I did see a monstrous Were-boar that was as big as a bull. I saw Were-bears, Were-tigers, and even a black-cloaked Superhero who used a silver dagger to lop off the heads of the Neratomay. And then I saw what was happening to the power source emanating from the center of the pentagram.

And with that, Alexander dashed out of the convocation hall. ************** Somewhere around the outskirts of the white phoenix pack, in the middle of the old abandoned woods, there exists an old building known as the cavern of whispers believed to have scary spirits of ghosts that are unable to move onto the next life or receive redemption. There inside, Vanessa was tied up to a chair, surrounded by masked werewolves. She looked around her in search of something to enable her break free and escape. She had no idea where she was, and the rogues around her didn't seem like the safest people.

Aurora Wildheart sat at the scarred oak table, her silver-blue eyes scanning a detailed map of Nightshade’s western territory, where the stone circle for their ‘rite of binding’ lay. The cloaked figure’s eerie familiarity, Mara’s chilling message, ‘The Nightshade calls for the chosen… it showed me your face, Aurora’ and the whisper in her mind ‘The chosen will fall’ wove a tapestry of dread, intertwining with Vincent’s unsettling message: Trust your instincts. Her forbidden bond with the vampire liaison was a quiet anchor, yet the mystery of her lost past - before The Emerald Forest Pack took her in at seven - gnawed at her, amplified by the runes’ resonance and Mikhail’s cryptic scrutiny.

When they crested a low ridge, the view opened—the enemy camp stretched across the white plain like a stain, banners snapping in the wind. It was worse than Eolan expected. Rows of siege engines stood ready, but it was the other shapes—covered wagons with iron-bound doors—that made his stomach knot. The heir’s jaw tightened. “Do you know what those are?” He shook his head. “Shadow cages,” she said grimly. “The Creed uses them to hold creatures they’ve bound in blood-oaths. They mean to match your darkness with something of their own.” Eolan stared at the wagons, the cold cutting deeper than the wind. “Then we can’t just hold the walls. We need to strike first.”

He looked at me, and for the first time since the fight ended, a shadow of something like genuine dread flickered across his face—not the fear of losing me, but fear of something far older and far darker. "The scent of a curse," he whispered. "The same stench that clings to the air whenever The Shackled appears." In the distance, piercing through the freezing mountain wind, a long, drawn-out howl echoed from the south—it was Raven’s voice, but it was layered with something deeper, something sickeningly inhuman, as if two voices had merged into one horrific shriek that tore right through both of us.

Alive. I took a shaky step forward, overwhelmed by the rush of their emotions blending with mine. But the relic wasn’t ready to surrender. A low, ominous rumble echoed from the warehouse complex. The ground trembled beneath my feet. From the shadows between the decaying buildings, dark figures burst forward — rogue wolves with glowing eyes and a desperate witch whose hands crackled with stolen black energy. Their snarls and muttered incantations filled the air as they charged straight at us. Spells of twisting, shadowy energy were sent flying toward us.

“And they don’t know I exist?” Victor shook his head. “Not yet.” Ethan looked at the black sedan. Then at the mansion looming behind him. Everything in his life felt like it was standing on unstable ground. “If I agree, where would I go?” Ethan asked quietly. “The Cross Estate.” “That place still exists?” “ It was rebuilt in secrecy. Only the inner circle members are aware of its location.” Victor replied. Ethan exhaled slowly. “And you expect me to just walk into this life?”

Fenris's Perspective I sit frozen in my heavy leather office chair, my knuckles turning stark white as I grip the wooden armrests. The Legacy Lock is no longer just a low, background hum; it’s a thrumming, vibrating cage of magical iron around my soul, punishing every single spike of my pulse with a cold, unforgiving pressure that makes my head swim.

Sure, her character developed into a more emotional, more vulnerable woman along the way, but she never let it show in the workplace and never let it get in the way of her work. Sensing prying eyes on herself, Rachel turned her gaze to the side only to find a familiar face looking at her. The face that had been her nightmare for years, the face that had wreaked havoc in her life and finally the face that her secret child had replicated. A tornado of awful thoughts spun her head, first in disbelief, then in shock, and finally, in anger. "What a ghost from the past!" Rachel's subconscious exclaimed horrified. Rachel clung to her senses as she scrambled to regain her footing.

We'd have to make this fast. A large, fenced-in warehouse stood across the road. The metal siding tattooed in faded graffiti, and the windows were dark rows staring out at the sea. Poe had brought us almost exactly where we needed to be. I'd have to ask him how he'd managed that. I would have been too afraid of the Witches sensing the residual magic from the portal. "Ok, seriously. What are we going to do now?" Liam asked. I pointed at the warehouse. "We've got to get in there."
