Monsters Among Us

Monsters Among Us

Connor only uttered one more word before he went back to sleep “Sorry” By the time that Paul had gotten back to the car, both the Hales were asleep and Rick had already started the car. Once Paul was in the jeep, they left the gas and gulp and continued their way to Los Angeles. Within the next two hours the jeep had pulled up into the compound, there was a large blue house that had a clear lake surrounding the back of the house and a large green forest surrounding the front of the compound. As Jake and the Hales drove down the pass a sign that said Compositum Hale. Jake figured that it was latin for Hale compound, this had to be the right place, how many Hale compounds could there be right?

The Whispers of my heart

The Whispers of my heart

They sat on the porch at dusk, wrapped in blankets, watching the sky turn gold, then violet, then deep blue. And when Nathan said, “We should go camping,” no one hesitated. They packed the car — tents, sleeping bags, firewood, a cast-iron skillet, and more marshmallows than anyone needed. The drive took them deep into Willow Creek Preserve, to a quiet clearing near a small lake, the same spot they’d visited as kids — a place of tall pines, soft earth, and still water that mirrored the stars. They set up camp slowly, laughing at Daniel’s lopsided tent, teasing Nathan for forgetting the coffee grinder again, and watching Sophia and Elena roast the first marshmallows over the fire, their faces

Dating My Ex-Boyfriend’s Daddy

Dating My Ex-Boyfriend’s Daddy

It’s Addison who says it now as she drops a kiss on Javan’s lips. She snakes her arms around Javan’s neck and brings their foreheads together. “You still want me to let go?” Javan asks cheekily. Addison’s eyes flutter to a close as she shakes her head slowly. “No. Don’t ever let go of me, Javan Roswell.” It’s Dallas who suggests that they go swimming. Beside their camping spot is a huge and pristine lake which occupies almost half of the whole area. The water is a deep blue, its surface reflecting the sun which is still shining above them.

The Price of Peace: Book 3 In The No More Regrets Series

“Hold on, let me lock up.” I run back, lock my door, then hurry down to the truck. He opens the passenger door for me, and I slide in while he circles around. “So… where are we going?” I ask, buckling up. He glances over, smiling. “Jordan Lake. Right outside Wisconsin Dells. I booked us a small A-frame cabin for five days.” My eyes light up. “Wait… so it’s just us?” “Just us,” he confirms. “And it’s on the lake.”

thing in with his fries. Still, when the waitress came to clear our plates and collect the bill, Chris turned on the charm again. "You know any good places to camp out for the night? Particularly towards Fairfield?" She tipped her head toward the window. "Ten miles off I-5, down Route 16 south. Geyser Springs. Hikers love it. Pretty trails, clean water. Six hour drive from Fairfield. Can't miss it." "Thanks."

Paint My World Red

Paint My World Red

(Aya’s POV) “You really want to go here, huh?” Red muttered, pointing his index finger at our current location on the map board. We stopped in front of the map board of The Oak Lake and compared it with the brochure given to us at the main entrance. It was a huge park with a camping site and recreational activities for companies who wanted to conduct team-building events or for families and friends who just wanted to commune with nature to do hiking or water ventures like boating, swimming, or fishing at the lake.

Falling for a John

Falling for a John

From atop a hill, I gaze upon a sparkling lake, canoes neatly stacked on a wooden rack, and inner-tubes tied to a weathered dock. This picturesque setting is none other than Camp Rees, a summer camp nestled in the Poconos Mountains, owned by Ashton's aunt. However, despite the serene beauty surrounding me, I remain fully focused on my duty. With three hundred raffle guests ranging from eighteen to forty-five years old, I cannot afford to let my guard down.

Julian’s Stand-In Wife

Julian’s Stand-In Wife

To completely heal the wounds from the incident Julian orchestrated at the kindergarten, they needed to wait for a suitable moment. The family had chosen the currently popular Frog Tree Tribe Camping Village. Their room was a uniquely frog-shaped. The structure was made of wood, and the surrounding fence was all glass. If you stood at the room's entrance and look down, you could see the earth in a golden color. The sun shone with a dazzling shade of yellow. Just a glance at the scenery could significantly lift one's mood. Stepping out of the frog-shaped cabin, they found a row of white pointed tents on the open ground. There were large pots and barbecue stoves, prepared for grilling and othe

Julian just stays dumb! humiliating Diana & his son like that & worrying them that they will have a new mommy while talking badly of their mom in front of them is sickening as well as letting a child call him daddy only to later probably yell at her for it. How is he doing Diana a favor when she...

I Want Her In MY Bed

I Want Her In MY Bed

Plus, there’s a really nice area with bathrooms and showers that’s close by, so it’s all the awesomeness of camping while still having some nice amenities. Matt drives us to my favorite site, the one with a great view of the lake, and parks his jeep by a line of trees. I flash him a happy grin and hop out. My parents are already unloading their car, and I run over to help. It’s a perfect day. We’re not so far into summer that it’s too hot to be enjoyable, but it’s definitely warm enough for a swim. I’ve been looking forward to seeing Matt in his swim trunks for weeks.

Alpha's Hated Mate

Alpha's Hated Mate

Tomorrow is Thursday, Racheal, Mirabelle and I are going on our school's annual senior year camping trip at Lake Diabolo. Lake Diabolo is located quite far from here and yes as the name suggests, it's the devil's lake. There's been a myth about spirits pulling you in if they see you as a worthy sacrifice but it's all folktales. I've been to the lake twice, once with my mom and the other time with Talitha. We snuck out without anyone seeing us and went all the way there, a 10-hour drive. The memory is vivid till today and I like it, it's a good one. Adrian though, was hard to convince to let us go, I told him I would go because my brother would sign it and I wouldn't enjoy the trip without my

I guess Adrian will never know or get to meet his baby. I never thought I could dislike someone so much. I think it is a horrible thing to deny a parent of knowing about or seeing there child.and why do we not her anything from Adrian is he out of the story from her on out???
heydingus01
I do have a common for the author that I’m hoping I can get a clarification on. In the second to last chapter in Cheryl‘s point of view the story contradicts Mirabelle‘s point of view in the epilogue of what happened after the wedding.
