Lincoln leaned back with back touching the side of the bathtub as I sprayed water in his head with the shower head while massaging his scalp.
“I could get used to this,” he said when I dried his hair minutes later.
I smiled. Admittedly, I could, too, but I feared getting my hopes up again.
The most frustrating part about styling dreadlocks was to mould their roots, I hated the stickiness of the moulding cream.
I styled the dreads in an updo and stood back to admire my work.
“Wow, you sure do have magical hands, don't you?” He winked at me from the mirror, and I smiled. He twisted in his seat and gave me a serious look. “Do you want to tell me what's wrong?”
