I lowered the crowbar back to the floor and stood slowly from where I had been crouching in front of the Beetle. I watched his house to see if anyone else would be coming out, so far no one did. This was probably my only chance at getting back at the piece of shit. I pulled the zipper on my Darth Vader mask hoodie up to my neck and pulled the hoodie over my head but left my face bare. I didn't want to draw too much attention from any unsuspecting neighbours by using the mask, plus I hated the stupid eye holes that came with it.

To be honest am glad he did hide his identity because of the things already running worst I wouldn’t invite attention for crazy teenage fans on me advertising their superstar, favourite singer with me in the middle of the night.

It was also noticeable that his eyes were not underlined with black eyeliner, which made her see his face completely without makeup for the first time.

The face mask was a three-dimensional Dragon face made of light weight, highly impact resistant metal, black in colour with its features detailed in purple and silver, where the only exposed part was the eyes; the area of the mouth had a mechanical contraption that moved with the jaw movement and also allowed intake of food and drinks without having to be taken off. The other peculiarity of the mask was that it was fastened at the neck and could only be taken off by the fingerprint of the owner or his superior from the Night

I stood in front of the full-length mirror while she circled around me like an artist inspecting a painting she hadn’t quite finished. She tugged lightly at the sleeves of the oversized black hoodie she’d made me wear before stepping back with a satisfied nod. A black face mask covered the lower half of my face, while the hood hid most of my hair. The faded blue jeans and plain sneakers completed the disguise, leaving very little about me recognizable. I stared at my reflection for several long seconds before slowly turning toward her. “So…” I lifted my hands and looked down at myself. “This was your brilliant plan?” Mara grinned proudly.

"How is it now? Does it fit?" Jonah smiled amusedly. He pulled at Hazel's black mask, making sure it covered her mouth and nose perfectly. "Now, this is the right fit." Hazel protested, her eyes glaring from behind the large sunglasses. "No one would recognize me here, you know!. The wig, the wide sunglasses, the face mask, even the fake mole on my face. Is all this really necessary?"

My eyes dip lower taking in his tight black slacks and black dress shoes and it takes all my self-control not to steal a peak at the goods. A guy who is that ripped is either overcompensating for something or… he just wants the rest of him to match up to what he was born with, and I’m unsure which, but I know which one I’m hoping for. Before my thoughts can spiral out of control in the cesspool that is my depraved mind, I notice the people next to him. To his left is someone who I can only tell has dark espresso-like skin because of the colour of their hands, which are currently very busy. She shook her head murmuring ignorant peasant! I went closer to it, just to confirm something, but when I was about to touch it the door opened revealing a man wearing a black suit with a hoodie, his also wearing a mask to hide his face!
