Jocelyn’s POV We decided to have a bagel spread set up for our wedding food. At Hemming Port the guards used to insist on stopping at this Bagel cafe after our runs. I used to always protest but secretly I loved it. There was always a spread of things layered out for you to choose from, different types hummus, cheese, cold meats, eggs, fresh cut tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, baby spinach and spreads the list goes on. We had barely 24 hours to plan it simply came down to me asking him what was his favourite food. And he said bagels, so bagels it was.

My body was heavy with exhaustion the next morning. The first hint of light was on the horizon and I was preparing the breads for breakfast. Bagels, danish, and croissants all had to be shaped and baked. As I portioned and formed the bagels I let my mind drift back to the night before. I am determined to identify last night's stranger. His aura seemed too strong to be a slave. He was likely a warrior assigned to the royal guard. He had to have already had his moon ceremony. His wolf was magnificent.

She saw the first shop and turned in. At the corner, she said to an uninterested teen, “Two jalapeños and cheese bagels with egg and cheese please.” “Is this food healthy? I stick to a very strict diet.” Kyle informed Alessa. “I know you are trying to impress rich heiresses but these are worth it.” Alessa shot back. A few minutes later, the same teen yelled, “2 jalapeños and cheese egg bagels.” “That’s us!” Alessa took out both the bagels, unwrapped the white wrapping paper over the sandwich, and handed one to Kyle. Then did the same to the one she was going to consume.

I smile at the woman manning the counter as I strode profusely in her direction or rather the direction where the foods are on display. “Good morning ma'am.” The thirty-something woman greeted me as I survey the baked goodness on display. “Morning,” I mumbled in reply. When I finally decided what to get I looked at her with a blinding smile of a starving woman. “Hi, can get a box of croissants and two boxes of bagels, please, and a large chai latte to go.” She nodded her head typing it on the register. “Anything else ma'am?” I shook my head. “That would be all.”

I fidgeted slightly, shifting my weight from one foot to another. “Um…that isn’t necessary,” I stated as I slowly continued to the counter. “Princess Jilliannah. What can I get for you?” The girl behind the register asked. I studied the menu for a moment. “Your blueberry bagels, are they good?” “They’re very good, Your Highness. They’re my favorite.” She responded. “Alright, then…” I looked at her name tag. “Brittney. I’ll take two blueberry bagels and an iced caramel latte.”

I relaxed a little. Katy exclaimed over her flowers, and Richard was pleased with his scotch. A drink was pressed into my hand, and Katy announced brunch was ready. We sat down, and I was pleased to see Matthew seated beside me. Huge platters of eggs, sausage, and bacon were passed around. Hash browns were apparently a favorite with this family, and I almost clapped my hands in delight at the selection of bagels. “You like bagels, Ashley?” Katy asked with an amused smirk. Luc laughed. “They’re in their own food group for her.”

Looks like today he’s making two dozen of each bagel flavor, plus white and wheat bread. Bagels take more time with all the proofing, so I grab his recipe card and start pulling ingredients and equipment. I also start the coffee maker—because if I’m going to be up this early, coffee is mandatory. I’ve just started measuring out dry ingredients when Jorge walks in. “Andie? What are you doing?” he asks, looking adorably confused. “I thought I could help—wash dishes, knead dough, set up your station.” I smile at him and pass over the coffee I just poured. “I just want to spend some time with you. I’ve missed you.”

It was warm and heavy. "What is this?" I asked suspiciously. I opened the bag with curiosity. The delicious smell of baked goods came out, making me feel so hungry. "Warm croissants, strawberry milk... and a chocolate baguette," he said as he started the car. I frowned in shock when I saw something huge inside the bag. I reached my hand in to grab a big box. A small gasp escaped my mouth. "Wait a minute... did you buy a whole box of strawberry milk?"

Rosalyn nearly crashed into a human wall when she left her apartment. "Morning, honey." Eric leaned against her doorframe, holding a paper bag with the Sunrise Sizzle logo and shook it at her. "Your husband brought you breakfast." Rosalyn was speechless as she looked at the paper bag in his hand. It would take at least an hour in line to get breakfast from Sunrise Sizzle. Eric noticed her gaze and lifted the paper bag. "It's your favorite bagel and oat milk." "No, thanks." Rosalyn walked past him and headed for the elevator.

Their gaze broke when Noah cleared his throat as loudly as he could. “I will have the classic New York bagel with cream cheese and lox,” Noah ordered, sizing the waiter up. “Alright,” The waiter took note of their orders on his tab. “What drinks would you like with that?” “Brooklyn-brewed latte,” Isla went first, her voice low and steady. “I see you're have made your research,” the waiter teased, scribbling on his tab, a smile tugged at his lips.
