Novel & Cerita Hope Bagel

A cream cheese bagel with scrambled eggs topped with cheese and skillet-fried ham all piled on the bagel to make a supreme breakfast. He made himself one as well even though he wasn’t remotely hungry, but he wanted a semblance of normalcy when he went to get her out of bed. She’d likely resist but it was time for him to take back the reins and right their relationship in the only way he knew how. Reassert his dominance, something he’d failed miserably on for a long damn time. He just hoped to hell he wasn’t too late.

I shifted a little where I stood. The idea of spending money—real money—still felt strange. Mel seemed to read the hesitation on my face. “We’ll even pay for delivery if we need to,” she added casually. “Delivery?” She laughed. “Oh honey, you’re not carrying half the capital back through a portal.” She reached down and lifted one of the bags resting near the counter. “This one alone can hold more than this entire bakery.” The bag didn’t look particularly special. Just worn leather with simple stitching. “It’s spelled?” I asked.

He looked very put together in a crisp white shirt with a light gray cardigan over it. "Let's go. I'll take you out for bagels." Ten years later, the cafe was still there. The owner was still the same man, Aaron Becker, though his hair had gone a little grayer. "Heather, you're back!" Mr. Becker beamed from ear to ear when he saw me. "Yep. Two smoked salmon bagels, please," I said. "Coming right up!" The bagels tasted exactly the way they used to. I ate slowly, as if savoring everything I had lost over those ten years.

"Are you here to go after the supernaturally inclined teen?" I sighed. The chayot in him wouldn't be buried, even if he wanted to try. "I am, if Pops hasn't left yet." I glanced at him from under my lashes, thrilled to see him, but nervous too. "He hasn't." Gabe took a bite of a bagel smeared with cream cheese and topped with strawberries. My mouth watered. I was famished for real food. "Good," he said after chewing several times and swallowing. I gave him a questioning stare.

Me: I can’t wait either. Jenny and I finally decided we needed food and coffee but we couldn’t even force ourselves to make anything. I suddenly wished Alan was here so he could feed us the way he did Emily and I before school started. The coffee shop down the street sold these huge delicious bagel sandwiches that sounded heavenly. So Jenny and I decided to order from there .. because they delivered. And going somewhere right now was out of the question. A second later I was on the phone with the guy placing my order.

She may not know what kind of food it was, but she gulps down hard. Who cares about what kind of meal it was, the fact that she was so hungry made her salivate without seeing the content of the food. She takes in her lips. "You mean this is for me" She asked pointing at the branded nylon bag. Ace haven't even utter the word yes, when Megan grab the nylon bag from him. She opens the nylon and brought out the food that was sealed in a bowl, her mouth wet seeing the food; it was solyanka soup, Bliny ( crepes, made with eggs, flour and milk) and some dumplings.

He’s the reason for my happiness, and I’m genuinely glad to see him getting healthier. In a few minutes, my order is ready, and I head over to collect it. After making the payment, I find myself zoning out, already thinking about my visit to the hospital. It's just a short drive from the café, so I know I’ll be there in no time. However, I can’t resist making a quick stop at the bagel shop to pick up Richie’s favorite bagel. I’m not entirely sure if it’s good for him or if he’s allowed to eat it, but I grab it anyway because I know how much he enjoys it. It's little things like this that I hope can brighten his day.

"Not poisoned. Here, have some." Mary looked at the loaf he was offering and back at his face, trying to study it for any sign of poison. Satisfied with the result, she took it from his hand and bit into the pastry. "Hmmm," Mary moaned as the baked dough hit her tongue. It was the first thing she had eaten since yesterday afternoon. The somewhat sweet and salty flavor of the bagel was beyond delicious. "It is nice, right?" Jack asked, smiling as he watched her reaction. Mary nodded and gave him a thumbs up, and his smile widened. He had succeeded in melting her heart.

Emily’s POV: As I moved the bagel towards my mouth, my hands shivered while I breathed heavily to tolerate the abhorrent smell it was giving out. I gulped and shut my eyes tightly for a while to try and get myself prepared for the thing I was going to do then. I looked at Aiden again, hoping he would stop me from doing this disgusting thing but he was standing still his hands crossed against his chest, waiting for me to do the thing. I despairingly held the bagel firmly in between my fingers and moved it closer to my mouth and as soon as it touched my lips slightly, I felt my hand frozen.
