The Horizon As the sun fully rose, the "World Without Code" began its first day. It would be a difficult day. There would be shortages, confusion, and the lingering threat of those who still craved the old order. But as I watched a small bird landing on the wreckage of the Citadel's external sensors, I knew we had won the only war that mattered. We had given the future back to the one thing that could actually handle it: the unknown. Ethan stood up, offering me his hand. His grip was warm, human, and wonderfully imperfect. There’s something about horizons that break you a little. I’ve never thought about that, but now I’m looking at one, I realise they show you the distance between what you want and what you’ll never reach. Between peace and reality.
