The transformation was undeniable. By now, he was convinced that the app was a gift from God and genuinely legitimate. Eagerly, he retreated to his bedroom, picked up his phone, and opened the app, this time carefully rereading every detail. He discovered an "Accomplishments" tab that displayed the number of women who had become his followers. As he examined the follower details, he felt a throb of excitement. The app explained that each time he creampies a woman, the woman would feel an increasing urge to become his follower, ultimately leading to complete surrender after multiple encounters.

But as soon as she closed her eyes, that mental scene she’d imagined earlier popped into her mind again. “Smack—” She slapped her forehead hard and muttered, “...Beast! Stop imagining things!” After a while, she wearily crawled off the sofa, picked up her phone, and opened an app with a black flame logo. The moment she logged in, golden letters flashed on the screen: “Welcome back to Gravesend, esteemed VIP client.” This app with the black flame icon was the secret gateway to Gravesend.

{It’s a friggin chatbot, for crying out loud. She hit INSTALL. The app requested access to her In-app purchases, Identity, Photos/ Media/ Files, Camera, Contacts, Location, Microphone, Wi-fi, Device ID, Call Information and SMS. Kate couldn’t have cared less if it asked for her kidney or her firstborn, too. She clicked Accept and waited for the app to downlowd. **** “The nerd dropped out,” Lor, pushing the bridge of her big and black-rimmed glasses up her nose, reported through Skype vidcall at around three pm, right after school.

“Oh relax, Benji. It’s a holographic party charm. And it’s themed.” The “theme,” if one could still call it that after Chelsea got her hands on it, was a chaotic mashup of Encanto, magical creature menagerie, forest fairy tale, and… was that a mini bouncy house shaped like the Blood Moon Pack crest? Tora didn’t know whether to cry, laugh, or beg someone to bring her a cupcake and a bottle of apple juice spiked with something strong.

I’d heard there were places where you could rent the tapes for a lot less than what they cost to buy, but it hadn’t changed my mind. I started towards the doorway with the curtain but stopped short by the tapes next to it. This section was at least twice the size of all the others. The covers of these boxes were all screams and knives. Bloody chainsaws and heaving breasts. The sign resting here was carefully drawn in black gothic type letters, each dripping red: “Horror.” Hanging by a piece of tape off every other shelf were letter-sized flyers exactly like the ones that man was putting on windshields out at the Farm and Fleet. I peeled one off to get a closer look.

The sound was a definitive, mechanical finality. "You really should verify your rides," the driver whispered, his voice like the grinding of gears. "People on apps are so easy to bait. They’re so lonely, they’ll get into any car that looks expensive enough." I went to scream, to kick, to lunge for the handle, but the leather glove was already moving, reaching for me with the speed of a striking viper. The last thing I saw was the VibeCheck logo on my screen, the notification still glowing, waiting for a reply that would never come.

In a nice voice I reply “Just had the scariest nightmare of my life. Why are you awake at 2 in the morning?” If I had of called anyone else, they would have ripped my head off for calling at such an ungodly hour. “Oh, you poor baby, its okay it was just a nightmare.” She purrs. There’s a short pause before she says “Aaron is over and we are watching horror movies, my

Marcus cast his eyes down as his shame covered him like a new winter’s coat. “ For now,Noah, please just trust me.” For a while after Noah left his room, Marcus stared up at the ceiling, feeling like the lowest form of life for lying to his best friend. How could he possibly explain to him that his dad and new girlfriend were being haunted by an ancient spirit, the same one who haunted his gran and her sister years before? “ Hello Marcus.” The voice which suddenly interrupted his thoughts, was melodious and familiar. Marcus looked to his side and by the light of the moon beaming through the window, he saw her.

Taking a deep breath I opened my mouth to speak when I felt a strange stinging sensation in my left shoulder. "Wait.. what was that? What have you done to me?" I was scared and unable to move from the spot. My legs instantly collapsed causing me to end up in a heap on the forest ground. "No!" I heard someone scream but then everything around me went dark.

She mostly stared blankly at her computer screen and wrote letters to her mom in her big diary. One of such letters read: Hello mom, your daughter is thirteen already. Where's the gift you promised her? You never promised to gift her your dead body, so why are you not here? Why are you silent? Why's your phone number out of coverage? Why are you not replying your emails? Why are you not calling or texting her? Where are you? Are you in heaven? If yes, why so soon? You told your daughter you were going to Australia but why change your mind? You promised to come two weeks ago but you're still not here? Where are you? Are you even listening?
