Torn Between Monsters

Torn Between Monsters

There were so many books about supernatural beings, but the ones I was most interested in were about the three monsters in my life. I gathered as many books as I could carry and settled into a quiet corner. Then I kept flipping page after page. As I read, I kept wondering if these accounts were written by humans or the werewolves, vampires, or incubi themselves, but nevertheless, I got to understand a few things about them that I didn’t know before. "Are the vampires really afraid of sunlight, crosses, and garlic?… But I haven’t seen any of them getting affected by sunlight," I muttered to myself, wondering if all I was reading was wrong.

Mated to the Alpha That Wants Me back

Mated to the Alpha That Wants Me back

They weren't so bad, there was a long white flowered flat dress which had no sleeves, a white plain shirt and two denim blue jeans shorts. She quickly wore the dress since it was the most comfortable among the rest. It had a layer of undergarment beneath it. The dress made her look like some abandoned fairytale princess. It wasn't all that bad. Caroline picked up the books, they looked so old and dusty. With an inscriptions that says HISTORY OF THE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT. She flipped through the pages of the book as she read about everything she wanted to know about Werewolves. She Saw how they transformed under the full moon and how they could shape shift.

Wolfsbane: His darkness, Her Light

Wolfsbane: His darkness, Her Light

I said, masking my concern. “It’s as good of place to start as any, I guess.” Cas nodded. “I can help, too.” Kali said, quietly. The tension in the air was vibrating at what we’d just discussed as we all glanced at one another. Over the next few days, we dove into the books and the mythology of any and all monster lore we could find. We read about everything from banshees to wendigos, but nothing really seemed to fit just right. The blood drinking was throwing us off. Whatever it was, it was elusive, deadly, and rare.

she murmured, tilting her head. Drawn by fascination, she found the rolling ladder attached to the bookshelf and climbed carefully. Her fingers trailed over several thick volumes—Blood Oaths and Moonlight, Fangs of Fire, The Treaty of Shadows. The illustrations on the covers were beautiful yet chilling, with fanged creatures, glowing eyes, and moons stained crimson. With great care, she pulled down four books and descended, arms full. She found the oversized reading chair near the window and curled into it, flipping open the first book.

Midnight Horror Show

Midnight Horror Show

“Were these any help, detective?” “I’m afraid not,” I said, defeated. I was in a bit of a daze after staring at projected newsprint on the dim screen. I leaned on the desk and looked around the building absentmindedly until my eyes finally settled on a small sign hanging on a table covered with a neat stack of books. “Warning: The Library is Not Responsible for Nightmares!” I read out loud, walking over to look at the books. Well-worn volumes with pink skulls grinning back at me from stickers on their spines. Dracula. Frankenstein. The Invisible Man.

After resting for a while, they walked around and saw a bookstore which they both agreed to enter. She was reading the back of Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen when Jacob asked her. “What do you say let’s read horror books? Like the ones we watched today?” “Eh? I’m scared. You go read first, then give me a summary, then I’ll decide. Haha!” “Roger!” as he picked The Dunwich Horror and Others by H.P. Lovecraft and IT by Stephen King. They finished book shopping, it was around three in the afternoon when Jacob invited her to go somewhere else.

His cursed Luna

His cursed Luna

" I don't get it, what's special about this library and these books?" " You can find anything you want about werewolves, witches, and vampires. Also, they're written by supernatural creatures. Meaning, every piece of information here is a correct one." " Can I find something about hybrids?" I asked him, and with a wink on his face, he answered. " Who knows? Perhaps, or you might also found something that would lead you a step closer to who you are." As I was about to ask him something else, he spoke perverting me from adding any other world.

A beautiful story. I like how the cure to the curse for the alpha is for him to find true love or learn how to love it creates a deeper romance meaning underneath it. And the plot develops well throughout the chapters.

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Not just words spilling out this time. Scenes. Creatures. Hazards. One thick volume labeled CASTLE HAZARDS struck a stone, flipped open, and vomited a swarm of translucent, wailing shapes—castle ghosts, their eyes hollow, fingers like icicles. They shrieked and arrowed toward us in a ragged storm. Another book, NEON DRONE PATTERNS, burst against a fallen shelf. Drones extruded from the pages like wasps from a nest, metal bodies shining, eyes already lighting up with target locks.

The Nine-tailed Wolf

The Nine-tailed Wolf

Maybe with Phoebe, we’ll be able to unravel the mysteries around this. Waking side by side, we went into her room. Picking up the book, it ignited with a golden glow, pages opening on its own. “What sort of book is this?” I muttered to myself, scrutinizing it. Thankfully, Hayley wasn’t in the room, giving us time to read it. The book talked about creatures that existed before werewolves such as vampires, fox spirit, fairies and the rest. Phoebe seemed more invested in fox spirits, her fingers traced the intricate drawings, her gaze never leaving. Following her line of sight, I saw the drawing of a fox with nine tails, its eyes ignited with a violet glow, looking so divine and magnificent. “V

Shadowed Creatures

Shadowed Creatures

They gave birth to powerful witches who in turn created powerful covens. By the turn of the new millennium, other creatures had appeared. Created by other forces. Werewolves hunted alongside vampires in the night. The Fae, the most mysterious of all creatures resided in the dense forests within their fairy rings or in the still waters of the lakes and ponds in the forms of water nymphs. Gnomes and leprechauns set up home in the hills and wetlands. Other creatures which once roamed the world a plenty were becoming extinct. Creatures such as dragons and unicorns each were hunted to extinction for the magical healing qualities.
