the giant screen glitched, and a haunting scream echoed from within the screen. Willa’s eyes widened as fear gripped her. Her eyes stared in horror as Kimberly’s body fell apart, one piece after another. First, the puppets grabbed her leg, then her hands, pulling until it separated from the rest of her body. Blood spilled... tainting the marble floor.

The next second, the Patchwork Monster tore the man in half. He tossed the body outside casually. Just then, a crisp, bell-like voice sounded outside. “It’s after work hours, who’s so rude as to be throwing bodies around?” A young girl with three heads and eight arms appeared at the doorway. With just one look at the shop, anger filled her voice, and her hair stood on end. “Who the hell had a death wish and smashed the Number One Must-Eat shop in the entire horror game?”

It was a total nightmare for my OCD. Gritting my teeth, I ripped out all his stitches. "This is crazy! You got my clean sheets filthy! How am I supposed to sleep tonight?" Once the threads were removed, he rapidly disassembled. Talk about a flat-pack husband! Ignoring his protests, I threw his disassembled body parts into the bathtub one by one to scrub them clean. Once they were spotless, I pieced them back together and stitched him back up using new yarn. Another comment floated across the screen: [Does she really not know this is a horror game? Crimson blood spilled from the corners of his lips as he gnawed on a thigh—a human thigh. The other kids were cradling other body parts in their arms, too, and one of the kids to the side was stuffing a human heart into his mouth. Thick, foul-smelling fluid smeared across his lips as he started crawling toward me with the heart in hand. But when I held my breath and stayed perfectly silent, they stopped munching as well. Any slightest sound, though, they'd start crawling toward me again. It was a scene straight out of a horror movie. "Yes, they track by sound," Elias explained, as if reading the question in my mind.

I asked softly. "Not anymore," he replied, his voice gentler than I'd ever heard it. Soon, Lily fell asleep, her little face flushed like a contented kitten. I stumbled back and gasped, my eyes snapping open to meet Horris’s burning gaze. “Do you want to get yourself killed?” he demanded. Rising from the chair, he moved closer. His eyes blazed with a fire I had never seen—not even in his strangest moments. Fear crawled through me, settling deep in my chest. I trembled and stepped backward, but he advanced, closing the distance. “Ho—Horris, it’s not what you think,” I stammered, my voice shaking despite my attempt to sound calm. “Then tell me what I think it is,” he said, tightening his grip. The pressure made my heart hammer in my chest. His expression was nothing like the calm, distant Horris I knew. This was someone else—dangerous, relentless,

Matt said to the girl and the manager. The manager nodded and then left to inform the staff. Jace walked past Matt with the rest of his men following. They walked through the crowd of people rushing out of the cinema rooms. Jace’s eyes locked on the room he knew the smell was coming from. They paused in front of the doorway. Jace’s eyes flickering to the movie poster next to the door. A horror movie. “Well at least he did us a flavor there. No one probably knew the screams were actual screams and not from the movie.” Dante said next to Jace.

There’s a sudden biosterous shreik from outside, the other humans pausing their dusting only to rush out in a panicked dash through the open patio doors. Jane sits in the grass, her eyes wide as saucers while Maria stands a few steps from her trembling in her shoes. Everyone gasps around me, while Hayden stands visibly convulsing with anger as he glared up at the sight above us. I screamed, horrified by the display, blood splattered everywhere, Harry’s lifeless eyes gazing back at all of us, his limbs twisted in all the wrong way. My hands trembled at my sides, desperate to reach out and comfort Jane.

He watched, his eyes wide with horror, as Twister, with a chilling precision, severed his pinky fingers, the saw slicing through bone and flesh. The world dissolved into a blur of pain and darkness, and Harin finally succumbed to the blessed oblivion of unconsciousness. But even in the darkness, he knew, with a certainty that chilled him to the bone, that his nightmare had only just begun.

I was a child again, feeling his dirty hands on me, groping at my clothes while forcing my legs apart. The image shifted and I was driving a knife into his body over and over and over again I woke up gasping for breath, it’s really crazy how These nightmares started again a month ago, so I’ve been drowning myself in wine and men, it helps for the most part, but it is crazy. First thing I noticed after jerking awake was the killer headache I was sporting, second thing I noticed, was that there was a stranger in my bed. I stared long and hard at his face…. what was his name again? Jake? …..Zeke? Ugh dang it!
