The couch could be adjusted into a bed, but I didn’t bother, knowing we weren’t planning to sleep there. “Okay, Poppy. But what kind of movie? Drama? Comedy? Horror?” She furrowed her brow in thought. “What’s horror?” “Scary,” I explained. A mischievous grin spread across her face. “Let’s go with that one.” I glanced at her. "Are you sure? It’s already late. You might not be able to sleep later if you watch a horror movie." "I'm fine. I'm used to being alone at night."

"A horror movie?" Victor nodded. Bob's reaction was over the top: "For crying out loud, man! You could've picked anything, and you go for horror? Have you lost your mind, or am I dreaming? Don't you know the domestic film market? Horror flicks have no audience here. A couple years back, a big-budget 3D horror movie tanked hard. Not only did it bomb, but viewers ripped it to shreds. Aren't you all about reputation? Why on earth would you take on this kind of project?"

Jason muttered under his breath but I chose to act like I didn't hear him. Sameer walks to us after parking the car. He looks over at Harsh mumbles "Hi" and Harsh nods at him in acknowledgment. I can see the cold air between them. "So what movie are we going to watch?" Sameer asked breaking the silence. "Conjuring 2" replies Harsh. "What?" Ryan shouted and then laughs looking at my already pale face. I didn't think Harsh will chose a horror movie. I should have warned him. "What's wrong?" Dia asked with knitted eyebrows.

In movies, horror lurks in the silhouettes, the night is the horror, along it comes not zombie breakouts or waste mutant experiments but vampires and not just vampires but many more. Bungalow structures coddled the land with bright bulbs shining over some dark sides saintliness and radiance, unstructured establishments could be seen also but with construction banners pasted on each walls and at the edge of the town was a bar, a motel to be accurate glowing from the windows light reflections to attract customers. HONK! ZOOM!

I listened but I could hardly hear anything with the television playing in the background. "Must be the neighbours," I mutter and turn back to the television. How do people watch horror movies they aren't even scary. To be honest it was a comical joke seeing someone getting chased by a masked murderer wheeling a chainsaw. They so deserved it for being naive and stupid. Vroom! Vroom!

Matthew suggests, rubbing his stubbles chin in thought. “That’s a good idea.” I say in agreement. “Then no one needs to argue.” “Alright.” And “ok.” The others say, all rushing towards the five shelves of DVDs in search of the right one. “Just nothing scary, I don’t think my poor heart could take it.” I quickly add, worried that they would pick some sort of horror movies. “Damn. I know exactly what to pick!” Zane shouts, rushing from shelve to shelve. “Nothing scary. Got it.” Matthew nods, concentrating on the movies in front of him.

I laughed, a light snort, at her sudden curiousity. "Okay." I shrugged, and thought through my list. I was a horror movie enthusiast, even though they absolutely haunted me for days after. I couldn't watch any of them alone, especially not in the evening. "Poltergeist." I said after a minute. "But not the new version, I'm a sucker for 80's movies." I admitted.

I informed him. He agreed but insisted that I don't take too long before coming. He hung up, and I went back to scrolling through my phone. Romantic or horror movies are the best for a first date, and that was what I was checking for. I decided to go with horror movies. I found one very intersecting horror movie, at the same time very scary. I saved the name and locked my phone. I packed up the rest of the documents on my table and put my system to sleep before walking out of the office.
